For the trunk trim, I'm gonna wrap it in gloss black and use a Xacto knife, to cut out the INFINITI letters. I was looking to buy the trim that comes like that, but I could only find carbon fiber (Not a fan of carbon fiber either). It shouldn't be too difficult to do since there are no curves. If you were to do it, I think it would look good with your silver and black color combination.
@SpeedCultureStudios4 жыл бұрын
The problem is I don’t want chrome letters. I want it to be all black so I don’t want to cut the letters out.

Thanks for all inspiring ideas. I'm taking a very budget oriented start as the final setup i wanted to run with 19s, Michelins, Z1 2 piece Akebono BBK conversion. $7k+ is a bit out of the price range currently so this is what i was thinking. I have a 15' Premium RWD with 28k miles. The factory 17x7.5's appear to have been professionally painted glossy black, I thought it was a factory option but i can't find them anywhere, maybe a dealer thing? The wheel looks good and since there's no contrast between the tire and wheel the diamater doesn't look as hideous as the silver. I installed 25mm hubcentric spacers in the rear to help flush it out which helped the look, but the fronts are sucked in still so It's a bit goofy. Here's what I'm thinking on a tight budget, I live in the Phoenix area with zero need for a all-season, it has stock Nexen N5000 plus 225/55 all-season with an overall tire diameter of 679mm. I was happy to see your setup rakes down on the Tein's as you have a 687mm front and 675mm rear diameter. I only city drive, seldom curves and i don't plan on autocross. I want to get the same spacers I've had on the rear as there's been no issues, so the fronts will be pushed out 25mm. Drop it on the Tein STech. Affordable summer tires 235/55R17 Firestone Firehawk Indy 500s squared which are 690mm, -1.59% speedometer difference. My rear diameter would be +15mm over your 19s and +3mm over your fronts. I really want comfort so i like a thicker sidewall. So my wheel-well should look nearly the same as yours and an ever slight increased rake. If i did a 235/50 up front it would be 667mm increasing the angle and dropping the front by ~12mm. Maybe that would look even better? Heh, I know I'm going to get a lot of crap from running 17s but hey, i could do that setup for $800, have a wider stickier tire, be lowered and wider. I would follow that with the rotor swap you did. Whenever i do this I'll make sure to take some pics and share, I don't think it will be as bad as some may think =)
@SpeedCultureStudios4 жыл бұрын
I don’t mind 17s but the problem with the factory wheels is that they are only wide enough for a 225 maaaaybe a 235, but if you’re not worried about grip so much that’s not a big deal. 18s are a good compromise if you’d consider changing wheels.
@LaenPvP4 жыл бұрын
@@SpeedCultureStudios Yeah i do wish they were a little wider, I agree 235 is really pushing it. Maybe if i tried to do a 225/55 up front which would be 679mm then do a 235/55 in the rear at 690mm and just run a little lower pressure in the rear. It feels kinda wrong just talking about those tire sizes on the Q, but meh, when i do save up i'll do it right, in the meantime this should be a nice little grip upgrade from what i have and look a lot better than the stock stance with the sucked in 17s.

Question! Knowing what you know now with all the installed mods, IF you can start ALL over from stock, what parts/mods would you start with to give you optimized performance? I know you mentioned the HFC were huge for you. But if you can start from scratch, where would you start first for the added gains?
@SpeedCultureStudios4 жыл бұрын
That’s a great question man. I think I would do springs and sway bars first with wheels and tires to follow shortly after. Or possibly wheels and tires first with springs and sway bars right after. And I’d do paddle shifters right away too. Definitely biggest impact parts.
@rbennett_F824 жыл бұрын
@@SpeedCultureStudios That's a pretty solid start. Noe for the HP gain, would you recommend getting HFC's to start followed by Test pipes and exhaust? How would you prioritize those mods, if at all?
@SpeedCultureStudios4 жыл бұрын
Roshelle Bennett Well I think one of the most important elements of a car is a nice sounding exhaust. If you’re worried about emissions I’d suggest High Flow Cats. They are also easier to deal with in terms of rasp. Test pipes can be raspy because they remove the cats, so you have to be careful with your catback. But I’ve seen hfc make almost as much lower as test pipes.
