I don't think so. I think most people don't make enough analogy when trying to understand something. In fact, most of our thoughts can only be possible through analogy. The basic structure of thinking itself IS analogical. Check out Surfaces and Essences: Analogy as the Fuel and Fire of Thinking, by Douglas Hofstader.

Good that you mention this. For this method to work, you can't be smoking everyday. Cheat meals and carb re-loads would not be what they are if you indulge everyday. Smoke once a week, two at most and make sure you are doing your homework and packing your neurons during the rest of the week.

I didn't do shit in HS. All I did was play basketball, buy shoes, watched porn and then deleting the history because I shared a computer with my mom. I didn't read, study, or lift. I practiced the violin a hour a day though, even though i should have been practicing 3 or more.

the only thing that's stopping me from a mindgasm is the annoying sound of the ending of the movie which is not leaving a good last imprint of the movie in my brain , and its disturbing the injecting of the ideas into my mind.

I've learnt to smoke the bud and maintain my diet, its just about creating habits of not eatin when stoned. The problem I find with too much bud is to do with a reduction in vocabulary with too much use, but it tends to help with problems where you have to pull 3D information out of 2D surfaces. Such as various problems in my 1st year engineering 115 where we have to look at engineering drawings and produce isometric images of the objects. It has to do with how THC creates unusual neuron paths?

I have always speculated in regards to your bulk and wither you went without using performance enhancing drugs or not and honestly when you consider that you can gain up to 20 pounds of muscle during your first year of lifting, if under an efficient training routine and diet of course. You put on 35 pounds in two years and since you appear to have an ectomorph body type which allows you to be lean regardless of diet for the most part it is safe to come to the conclusion that Frank Yang is natty.

Any recommendations for introductory to Wittgenstein's philosophical concepts? The head of the Psych Dept. at TAMU-C (where I conducted research in the CogSci Lab) was really into Wittgenstein back then. He's published a lot about him but I think it's more connected to A.I. and the history of Cognitive Science. Academic stuff. I want something a little lighter to begin with. Keep it surreal...

I used to do alot of psyches and i don't think you recommending them to people is good, they can make you very analytical and neurotic, personally my brain never shuts up, even when i want to relax thoughts will not stop flowing through my head, its even difficult to sleep at nighT because of it.
@tombo444411 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the recommendation, that makes alot of sense the brain only takes what we know and builds or extrapolates from that and tries to interpret information based on current knowledge among other things so it is pretty cool to use analogies. P.s. What happened to your leg? AIDS?

Have you thought about tanning Frank? I'm super Scandinavian and don't get any color except painful burned red (still good looking with pale skin though), but with your Asian genetics, you could get a ton of definition with a darker skin color!
