Yes, but DUH... It's about travel from England to Australia. Since both have used the metric system for yonx and the idiotically backward United States, Liberia and Myanmar are the only countries in the world that don't, it's 14,498.6 kilometres. Note the spelling of the word, too, which the US is too stubbornly obnoxious to use. 🙄

Hats off to you Noel for putting this incredible video together. From the exhilarating thrust of take off, the fascinating airshow maps, the relaxation of the night time white noise (in sleepy chunks), appreciating the vastness of the Indian Ocean and of course descent, approach and landing, I am glad I finally took the time to enjoy every minute of these 17 plus hours. I’ve just stepped into an alternative reality where someone uploads a 17 hour video of nothing, and then others say how jolly good it is. And now I’m going to step right back into my own world and say a little prayer of thanks that it contains normal people doing normal things.

Awesome video!... I love flying and do it often, But I will lose my mind sitting in a plane for 17+ hours.

Thank you so much for sharing. My husband and I were in Perth visiting friends. They live near the airport. We heard it fly over...lol Cheers from Kiwi land.

This very same plane VH-ZND had an incident at heathrow in february this year. On departing for perth the tail struck the runway.and as the plane had to be airborne,it returned to heathrow where it performed a heavy landing. no injuries or major damage.just a sensor or something

inflight Video not a problem, although it wasn’t my video that you used in the end, haha. Again, great video, I’ll admit to not watching the entire 17 hours, but I’ve watched a good three hours! I look forward to more of your videos in the future! :)

What kind of battery and SD card did you use to record 16 hours?
@noelphilips6 жыл бұрын
For this one I used the onboard USB power on the plane, with a 200GB and 128GB MicroSD.

Oh boy, I'm so glad this is on youtube! I've been so excited for this ever since they announced the direct flight to Perth. That Dreamliner is a real workhorse isn't she. Did it have that new car smell lol? I'm really enjoying this video and I feel like I'm there! Luckily I've booked a day off work to watch this :)

Thanks so much for watching Shane! Crazy that the 787 can go so far. Incredible technical achievement! It did smell very new inside, I think it was only a couple of weeks old. Enjoy the flight!
