We have the Qareens. These are the individual Qareens. Now who are the Qareens? Well, the prophet (SA) told us in the hadith of Abdullah Ibn Masud mentioned in Sahih Muslim. He said: "...". He said, "There's not a single one amongst you except that they have a consort from the Jinn. Meaning like a companion or somebody who accompanies them from the Jinn. And the companinon said, "...". They said, "Even you, oh messenger of Allah?", he said, "Yes and me as well, except that Allah has helped me against him & he became Muslim & he doesn't command me with anything except that which is good." There's another narration of this hadith. And there's basically just a difference of a haraqa. So instead of The Prophet(SA) saying, "Fa aslama", The Prophet(SA) says, "Fa aslamu.", and that changes the meaning. So when the first one that I mentioned to you, The Prophet (SA) said, "Yes I have a Qareen as well, except that Allah has helped me against him", "Fa aslama" meaning,"he became Muslim, and he only commands me with good". In the second narration, "Fa aslamu", meaning, "I have become safe from him." And both of these narrations, there's no contradiction here. They compliment one another, so we take both of them to be correct. Not only Prophet(SA) safe from his Qareen but also the Qareen of the Prophet(SA) became Muslim. Also, we learned from this hadith that the job of the Qareen is to command people to do bad. The word Warren come from the verb: Qa-ra-na. Which means to accompany or to be joined with or connected to.The job of our Qareen is to encourage us to disobey Allah (SAT). The Qareen can be influenced. The hadith of Abu Huraira mentioned in Musnad of Imam Ahmad, The Prophet (SA) said, "...". He said, "Certainly the believer can wear down their Shaytan", referring to Qareen. Prophet (SA) said, we have the ability to wear down or weaken the influence of our Qareen. How do we do that? Very simply, by the obedience of Allah(SAT). The more time we spend in obedience of Allah the weaker the influence of our Qareen would be. We can take the dhikr for example. Imagine someone who makes dhikr throughout the day. They remember Allah throughout their day. There's a book which has all the authentic adhkar of the Prophet(SA), is called Hisnul Muslim or fortress of the Muslim. This is a collection of authentic edhqar remembrances and the duas of the Prophet(SA). If someone were to just implement that book in their life, that would mean they wake up in the morning they remember Allah. They're changing their clothes, they remember Allah. Before they enter the bathroom, they remember Allah. Before they leave their house they remember Allah. When they come back to their house, they remember Allah. If they go to the Masjid, they remember Allah. When they get in their car, they remember Allah. Etc etc etc. So this would mean, you can imagine Subah Allah if a person is making this amount of dhikr then what would the Qareen have to influence this person? It would almost be impossible. Also imagine Subah Allah added to that, a person who prays their five daily prayers they add to that their Sunnah & Nawafil, how much time is left in the day for the Qareen to influence them? Imagine a person has a portion of the Qur'an that they recite every day, how much time is the Qareen going to have to influence this person? And also we add to that, that a person spends their downtime in the obedience of Allah, they're doing those actions which are beloved to Allah eventually the Qareen, we said we can't make him Muslim, we can't kill our Qareen, but at the very least we can make sure that the influence of our Qareen is very weak.

of course your qareen can turn to righteousness and tawheed, and suggest such themes, if you're exceptionally good hearted and uphold the covenant with Allah SWT. The devilish whispers will persist from satan and his minions. there is sufficient anecdotal evidence on this. there's ultimately the possibility of direct experience, which depends on the brainwave state you're at (often meditatitive delta or theta).

The jinn have the ability to choose good and evil. However, the devil has appointed each of these qareen to whisper evil to us. They are part of the Devil's army. They are his patrons...they have chosen the wrong path. You have to listen to all the lectures on this class to understand this.

Instead of saying qareens plural of qareen قرين say quranaa قرناء the Arabic plural, this is more helpful for learning Arabic thru usage of correct plurals.
