I'd tend to agree, Colin (and glad you enjoyed the video). Even though the business class product on the 788 is nowhere near as good as the Q Suites, I still found the onboard service from the cabin crew to be excellent - and couldn't fault the lounge at all.

​​@@GLAFlyjust incase yur flying in a 787 & u want to shoot the on the sky & the dimmable windows is locked, can u use auto white balance / exposure / brightness to compensate for the blue tint of the locked windows?

I’ve just watched both of your Qatar flight reviews from LAX through to DUB. Both flights looked great, with awesome service. The lounge in Doha looks stunning. What a great experience. I’d certainly put that on my bucket list. Thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work 👍👍

Thanks Nick - glad you enjoyed both the videos. If you ever get the change to fly them, I'd certainly recommend it (and it doesn't need to break the bank either - I did thisntrip as an Avios redemption, so it cost me 90k avios and £169 at the time, which was a relative bargain.

@homeandbeyond988 I was really impressed with Qatar's service on both my flights. Is it the A380 you'll be on from Perth? If so, it's the same seats as I had on the 787-8, but you also get the onboard bar! Hope you have a good layover in Doha as the lounge is excellent.

I've only flown with the twice so far (1 ticket LAX-DOH-DUB), so don't know how their economy product measures up, but I was certainly sold on their business class offering from this experience. It's a cut above what I'm used to from Western carriers. Hope you enjoy the other videos!

excellent video! gonna fly qatar a350 in a month as well as their 777 leased from cathay on a family trip! I really like Hamad International. Everything under one roof, slick design, calming spaces. That bus gate was way up there in the north expansion, wasn't it? How long did it take you to get from the Al Mourjan lounge to that particular gate? Did you take the train?

Thanks and glad you enjoyed the video. Think it was about 15 minutes, but I wasn't really paying attention (and keep in mind by this point I'd had a 15 1/2 hour flight from LA and an 8 hour layover, so time was fairly fluid at that point 😀. Didn't need to take the train, but would love to give it a go next time - and pay a visit to the garden lounge.

That certainly would not entice me to part with my money. The seats are literally on top of each other, with absolutely no privacy at all..paying to go business i would expect more ,

It's one of the down-sides of Qatar - they have so many "Business" products. You have the Q-suite (and "next gen Q-suite) at the top end, and then these open seats nearer the bottom - but they also still have some aircraft flying long-haul with 2-2-2 seating - in this day and age, hence the widely used term of "being Qatar'd" with last minute equipment swaps. It was still a lovely flight, but not the same experience as the previous flight i'd connected from (LAX-DOH on the 777 in Q-Suites)
