Your voice is easy to listen to...unhurried delivery is appreciated. Just took my first flight with Qatar recently. I was blown away by the entire experience. At Hong Kong Airport it's 3 hours before the flight and I think it's the same at Doha too ☺

qatar has first class on the 777??? i thought it was just the a380!

That's what I originally thought too! This First Class is only on the four 777s leased from Cathay Pacific, so the whole plane is full of Cathay's seats, including First and Premium Econ!

We (I and my wife) are flying DOH-MLE and back in Jan with the 777-300ER in first. Initially was scheduled on A350 with business but they switched and notified so we can upgrade (did not come cheap though).

Interesting that you were asked whether you were staff. They would normally know that from the passenger info list. I am watching this as I am considering taking advantage of a reasonable F Class offer on QR.

The problem with QR first is that other than pricier champagne and caviar, it’s not that different than their business class. In fact, for a long time they were serving the same vintage rose champagne in biz.
