We test some very rare shotgun rounds that are about 20 years old. These were never sold to civilians, but to police and military. Ben was very generous by sending these to us so we could share it with our viewers. There are no other videos that show what these unique rounds do. I remember about reading about these in Weapons for Police and Military magazine(now defunct), back in the late 90's. It was to be the answer for PD's that would not (due to politics), or could not afford to issue rifles to their patrol cars. the was to be Armored Piercing "Buckshot", when it spread out it was "mathematically" possible that one piece of the tungsten carbide hardened steel (same material drill bits are made of ), would defeat soft body armor of a felon wearing same. This round was one answer to the infamous 1997 North Hollywood shootout.

The problem with that is the individual pieces that don't fit together tightly. Unless you use a VERY stout shot cup, the individual pieces will separate and get crossways in the barrel, scoring or possibly destroying the barrel.
