I live in London - there is one neighbourhood fox I feed regularly , placing the food in a compostable “ takeaway “ bag . I buy packets of chicken legs / thighs and feed it to them , mixed with whatever leftovers I have from my supper . I leave it out late, hidden in a spot where the neighbourhood dogs/ cats cannot get to them ( I know they don’t , as I have a small night camera located on site ) . I also leave nuts out at regular spots for the squirrels , and I have a bird feeder with nuts and seeds for the birds ….

I work with foxes. They need a variety of food. Some food can be more harmful then good. Feed them raw chicken meat, fruit, no cherries, no tomatoes or peppers, avoid raisens, and grapes. They like frozen mixed veg. eggs just give it one and it will open it up to eat. Green beans, carrots, crickets. Grain free dog food that has Taurine in it.

Usually you can get away with feeding a fox almost anything because they are omnivores. But not chocolate, it's literally poison to foxes.

I have been putting out pasta with grated cheese , dog biscuits, dog food ,hash browns, chicken, ham . Put some water out . They are very nervous but the fact is there is probably hungry and tired. Ah bless it's very hungry. I put my fox box out every day and I have three come regulary. . 💞💕

The fox has mange, will struggle to keep warm with a mangey coat. Feeding will help. Dog/cat biscuits soaked in water. Be interesting for an update on this fox?

The fox in this video is suffering from easily treatable sarcoptic mange. Left untreated it could evetually die. Treated over a period if 4-6 weeks it could return to a normal healthy happy life.

You are right. I had a family of foxes - vixen and four cubs - visiting me all last year. They all had mange. So I did some research on the web, found out about ivermectin and how to give it to foxes and managed to cure them all in the space of couple of months. It was great to see them recover and get their lives back. There are a couple of videos on KZbin that show you what to do and also some web sites with all the details. Don't you just love foxes. She looks a little sorry for herself, did she continue to visit? We feed ours with all sorts of dog food, the fox in my video is taking a dog food called Webbox Chub, a sausage like food, presumably for her cubs. If you get the chance again try chicken McNuggets, they seem to love them. I trained one of ours to come when called for her treat of sliced nugget, which she would happily take from my hand.

I suggest: Keeping it as a pet since it looks very sick. GOOGLE WHAT FOXES EAT CHOCOLATE CAN POISON THEM (white chocolate is a little risky but it’s fine) Google about foxes. They are legal as pets in only some states.

This is a bit sad to watch. Your heart's in the right place, but some of what you're giving it is an absolute no. Chocolate is poisonous to foxes, as it is to dogs; salt is bad, so is sugar. If you're going to feed a fox, dog food and berry type fruits, nothing else. What's also sad is that this poor fox is obviously pretty sick with mange.
