One of the important songs where the great MSV has wonderfully used the Bangos is பாவை பாவைதான் from எங்க மாமா. Also MSV is the only one who had used two Bamboo Pipes which were struck on a stone to create a wonderful sound. You can hear this in நாளை இந்த வேளை பார்த்து song, just to quote an example. This Bamboo sound is also best heard in கொடுத்ததெல்லாம் கொடுத்தான் song and also in the prelude of தொட்டால் பூ மலரும் song. Mr Murugesh (later on known as Meesai Murugesh) used to handle the Bamboo Pipes. I (as a 15 year old boy) had the honour of holding the stone for him in one of the MSV music shows at Raja Annamalai Hall in 1964.
