I remember watching QI back in college, and Jo Brand was always one of my favorites to see for her biting wit. Glad to see it hasn't aged a day.

I like Jo Brand too but her 'biting wit' is fat jokes and 'I hate my husband'.

I haven't seen this episode yet, but I know exactly who said that, how the bahs were said, and who they were talking about...

35:46 Rocky Mountain Oysters!!!! They're genuinely delicious. If it helps anyone, they're typically sliced thin, breaded, and deep fried. They're not eaten raw, like real oysters. Funny, QI worthy story: up in Montana, my little brother and I were loaned out to work for my grandparents friend on his ranch for the day. We were explicitly told not to race the ATVs (All-Terrain Vehicles, aka 4-wheelers). Of course, a 14 and an 11 year old were gonna race them! And of course, we got in trouble. To keep us occupied while our grandpa came to pick us up, the rancher sent us to root around in the creekbed to find "rocky mountain oysters." It wasn't until a couple years later that I appreciated how he made himself laugh while distracting us

No thanks on the testicles. It does, however, prove almost anything is edible if you deep fry it.

My parents, both PhD nutritionists, ‘discovered’ quinoa when they were researching foods in Peru in the mid 1950s. Documented that it contained all the amino acids.

It's good in soup, but by golly it would rather get caught in your teeth and gums than anything else. 😂

One of the first Sporks was called a Runcible Spoon. One version had sharp knifelike edge, too, but it did not take off.

I suppose it lacked wings... I'll show myself out. Edit: what if you threw it, would it take off then?

I first heard of breatharians in an episode of 'Barney Miller'. An arrested man swore he would go on a hunger strike until released Deitrich (the great Steve Landesburg), says" Why don't you become a breatharian?" and explains how it works. The guy in the cell (Larry Gelman) begins taking in huge breaths. Deitrick: "Hey...don't stuff yourself".

Is it my imagination or has the censorship gotten more pronounced over the years? I am genuinely curious if anyone knows.

29:31 This stuff is just awful, cheats, scammers and liars convince some people to try this, which is obviously dangerously foolish. Anyone who claims to be a breatharian is a liar.
