hello there. 12:00 those are kois you say. are the different variety from japanese huge kois? if these small fish put in mud ponds will they become size of japanese kois? 🤔
@SGBeardedAquarist5 жыл бұрын
Apparently they can't get as big as japanese kois but as with all kois, they will get big. Just not as big. As for growth and environment basically poor water quality or lack of space can stunt growth so do take that into account.

13:10 those blue tangs are really expensive. they really feed those to the lobsters?
@eisenklad4 жыл бұрын
they died/dying...probably from mishandling. so circle of life , i guess? i was at Qian Hu after Finding Dory was released. some family wanted to please their kids.. so they filled a bucket with FRESHwater and almost scooped a Blue tang out of the tank. i wanted to stop them but a staff member reached them first. makes you wonder how many fish die... their tank arrangement is quite weird... 3 rows of fresh water community (small) fish, 3-4 rows of saltwater fish in middle then another 3 rows of freshwater larger fish(cichlids, parrot fish..or those that are more agressive) . no clear distinction between the 2 segments

@@SGBeardedAquarist I agree, too bad the only body of water suitable to supporting proper fish growth was my turtle's enclosure pool. Everyday there would be 1-2 dead fish at the filter intake till every fish was dead. The only fish that survived in the plastic tank that Qian Hu gives you after your long kang fishing were Platty fish. My brother sent them to death by placing them in with my turtle without first hand knowledge of its bloodlust.

can you recommend the best shop for predator fish in Singapore? I lived in Johor bahru, I'm so addicted to predator fish haha
@SGBeardedAquarist5 жыл бұрын
Oh man I'm not super familiar with predator shops but two come to mind. Xtremefishhobbyist (heres my tour of the shop: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZSqiplqerSsmLc ) not super big but quite a variety and very good prices. Just take note of their unusual opening hours. The other is poison aquatics. Never been there before but ive seen photos and its catered for predatory fishes.
