I have the 08 and my choice came down to the need for COS PLAY for my son. Qidi max has some negatives that Qidi pro does not, but the Qidi pro is just to small for our needs at the moment. I only use PLA PETG and rare TPU. The 08 has been a perfect match for our projects so far. With your macro pack and a Noctua fan of course.

Makes absolute sense!! Thank's for the comment. For me it became a question of a complementer product. For large ABS parts I can wait for the SV08's chamber to heat up, but for anything smaller out of ABS/ASA the Qidi is up for the task.

Hi Igor! Yes, hard to judge reliability for the Qidi after just 2 weeks of use, but the my SV08 stood up well in the 3 months since I got it. Maybe it's my mindset (or luck), but I am yet to see a really bad device. I don't remember seeing the Q1 Pro on your channel. Did you get a chance to review it? I know you have a good opinion about other Qidis. And you had more trouble with the SV08 too...

I have been using that filament cutter on my X-Max 3 and it's a game changer! I really disliked how you have to pull the tube to cut the filament. Thankfully this community is so awesome and resourceful to come up with great ideas and solutions. I would also highly recommend the X-Max 3 if you need a larger build volume and like what the Q1Pro is offering, it's a super solid printer and has the same features but is much larger.

FWIW, I was/am a complete 3D printing novice. I only knew enough to know I wanted an enclosed chamber so I could print with filaments other than PLA. After seeing the reviews of the Q1 Pro, and the price, I got one. Now I'm wondering how I've gotten by so long without a 3D printer. All I do is research what filament is best for the part I'm printing, use the QIDI slicer, and print. Haven't had any problems with printing. I did have a problem updating the firmware. Windows kept flagging the file as a virus. I eventually got around the problem. I did add a filament dryer. Overall as a novice, the Q1 Pro has been great.

Per le mie esigenze ne sono più che felice, ero indeciso tra q1 pro e Bambu p1p, alla fine ho scelto Qidi per la migliore assistenza clienti che hanno. Come te, l'unico vero difetto che ho incontrato è il carico e scarico del filamento, ma grazie alle tue preziose informazioni, migliorerò di sicuro il problema. probably super easy... you can build an activelly heated chamber to the SV08, but you can´t enlarge the print area on the QIDI (at teh same time, most part of the people doesn´t even need that much print area).

But we’ll see if I can get either of them. For now, my channel is primarily focused on Sovol printers, laser engravers, and has recently expanded to include Qidi. Hi Gergo. i have Bambu x1C with AMS. I am looking to buy another machine. can you please advise you recommend qidi plus 4 or sv08. i want a large format printer.
@gerGoPrint3D2 ай бұрын
I don't have direct experience with the Plus 4 (or x1C), but based on the q1 pro vs SV08 for large format I would recommend the SV08, since it has a 63% larger build volume than the Plus 4 (and 2.5× more than the x1C!) and for about the same price as the Plus 4 it also comes with enclosure (though if you keep using your x1C for filaments that need enclosure, you can save much if you get the SV08 without enclosure, which is detremental for PLA/PETG printing anyway). Based on my experience with the Q1 Pro, the SV08's extruder is probably going to be more reliable and the whole design is more modular, self-repairable. On the other hand following the Bambu the software experience will be more bare-bones, be ready to do some digging around for good profiles and even some macro changes. On the bright side, these are all possible due to it being fully open and user-manageable! And if you are willing to invest a little bit of research (my channel actually covers most of the needed small upgrades) it will be a printer capable of high speed and high quality, and long lasting due to the open source nature.

Yes, I am content with the mini-screen on the SV08, still a touch screen is nice for on-the-fly adjustments. My computer is in the other room, but I am going to show the BTT K-Touch next, which will provide macro access to all my printers after the software update.

No poor choice that, the K1 Max is probably by far the best consumer grade 3D printer on the market. not only is it very very fast but the AI features are just awesome. I can honestly say I have never had a failed print. I have The K1 Max, 2 x K1s plus SV06 Plus and the SVO6 and many other Creality printers outside the K1s and the Max is just head and shoulders above anything else on the market. I measured for you. It took 5 minutes to heat to 80°C. I waited 10 minutes for heat soaking, then measured the temperatures: 73°C at the center, 70°C at the back corners, and 67°C at the front corners.
@33DM3 ай бұрын

@@33DM All 3D printers have this. I set all my Sovols to 65C when I need 60C for PLA. I think the thermistor is at the bottom of the bed, and we are measuring on the top. The Q1 Pro can heat bed to 120, so it gives us a nice margin to actually heat it to 100C for materials which need it. On Sovols, the limit is 100 or 105 (SV08) which means you cannot really heat it to 110C to get 100C. I hope you understand what I am trying to say. So no, it's not a defect, it's just a consequence of where it is measured.

Why are you cutting the filament so high on the Q1 pro cut it as flush as possible, the sovol method is just the standard klipper method that you can do from any klipper interface you can actually do that with the Q1 pro but with the design of the extruder you might get more jams, so you sacrifice the small amount of filament to get zero jams and 0 clogs just like I have.
@gerGoPrint3D5 ай бұрын
I usually cut near the extruder, but for the visibility in the video I did it up high. Besides the Qidi Cutter v2 is right at the entry. Question: do you know is it the tangle detection or the run-out detection inside the extruder? I became unsure.
@NoMercyFtw5 ай бұрын
@@gerGoPrint3D The run out sensor is in the extruder The tangle detection is in the back of the printer, I thought the run-out sensor was in the back and I kept wondering why it wasn't going off when it disappeared from the back and was almost at the extruder and I would pause it myself and replace it, until one night I went to sleep with a print running and woke up to it paused because it ran out of filament at 90% lol
