I am filled with gratitude for having finally come to the right place! I have multiple chronic illnesses. I have tried a lot of KZbin practices for digestion, with no real breakthrough. I've been practicing with this video for one week now and have found it one hundred percent effective since Day 1. I am going to share the link with my GI doctor, whom I've been paying for years, though none of her prescribed medications or recommended OTC medications have helped. Will incorporate into my daily qi gong routine.

I have been doing this every morning now for over a month, before this I was starting to reduce my food intake because everything was causing me pain and bloating. I am already noticing that I can eat things that previously set me off, with now significantly reduced symptoms occurring. I am going to make this part of my morning routine, because the breath work also grounds you and puts you in a positive place to start the day. Thank you so much for uploading this video.

Dear Nick thank you so much for this video - it has literally changed my life. I discovered it in February 2021 and it is the most effective qigong practice I've ever tried in years of YT videos. After doing it every morning for 2 weeks I suddenly noticed that my breathing had completely changed. After a life time of upper chest breathing I was now naturally and effortlessly breathing in my belly. Result was 1) The constant pressure in my chest and air 'hunger' had disappeared 2) Palpitations had gone. 3) Jittery tense body to deeply relaxed body. 4) My sleep pattern went from 5 to 7 hours a night. 5) Warm grounded experience of my body - a feeling of safety in being in my body. And THEN I discovered your YT video Qigong for Immune Boost for Older People and after practicing that one every morning for a week the effects of this video went even deeper! When following this second video I realised that I was still holding A LOT of tension in my solar plexus. That became clear in the SP tapping and pebble in the pond exercises. The wonderful effect of gradually releasing my clenched SP area is that now my whole abdominal area is open and relaxed and the feeling is very liberating. AND now after decades of irregular heart beats my heart now beats regularly with only the rarest moment of 'skipping' a beat. There was one other thing........Oh yes - my digestion has improved wonderfully! No longer feeling bloated and sometimes painful discomfort after eating : ) I am maintaining all these benefits now with just doing this 10 minute routine every morning. Thank you again dear Nick.

Hi need to know what can I do to reduce pain when I eat. The area below my stomach becomes painful and hot, have cut out wheat. What can I do to correct it. Any assistance appreciated. Thank you
@TheNickLoffree4 жыл бұрын
Hmm, from a Chi perspective, this could be "stomach heat", which would be alleviated by including more "energetically cooling" foods in your diet. This would include raw veggies, salads, green juices, perhaps some raw fruit, sprouts, dairy if you tolerate it, and choosing more fish over red meat. You might also try avoiding "energetically heating" foods, like hot spices, garlic, ginger, onions - essentially avoiding anything spicy. Adding some magnesium supplementation could be helpful too. It is a "cooling" mineral that also helps move food stagnation through the intestines. If you're open to Chinese herbs I like the Digestive Harmony blend from Dao Labs. I actually have a discount code with them too so you can get 25% off using code NICK at checkout: mydaolabs.com/products/digestive-harmony Hope some of that helps! Nick

It may also be wise to see a doctor as that could be something serious like an ulcer or H.Pylori overgrowth and you will be better equipped to heal if you get the proper testing so you know what you're dealing with.

Could this help with gerd? I had experienced acid reflux for 2 years now and was recently diagnosed with gerd. It's gotten so bad to the point I have not been able to eat solids in a week and I can barely get liquids down its causing me to choke on everything even my own spit. I have some procedures I'll be getting done soon to make sure nothing is seriously wrong due to this. But in the meant time I'm hoping to find some sort of relief I'm in so much pain and feel so sick and my throat feels like I'm constantly choking 😭
@TheNickLoffree4 жыл бұрын
Wow, that sounds really awful. I hope you are starting to do better. This routine could potentially be helpful. It is certainly worth a shot. If constipation is an issue then relieving that can be very helpful for acid reflux (think clearing a jam downriver so what is upstream can flow) and is much easier to solve. You might consider trying a "cooling" diet temporarily, which in Chinese Medicine relieves the "heat" in the stomach. Cooling foods would be green vegetable juices, raw salads, cucumber, sprouts, etc. I had acid reflux for years. Getting my bowels moving more efficiently and doing a Paleo diet seemed to be what finally resolved things. Hope some of that helps! Nick

Hi Nick. Just discovering your channel. I am having major digestive issues (nausea, bloating, belly pain). A slew of tests but no answers and am thoroughly discouraged. So, I went looking for ideas and up came this video! Can these movements be adapted to do from a sitting position? Thank you.

Yes, you can definitely benefit from doing these seated. Sometimes when those tests can't figure it out, stress management is the solution. Hope it helps!

Hi, Nick, I developed ibs constipation 11yrs ago after I had my 3rd child through emergency c section, basically I stressed about after the operation after having 2 natural deliveries. I felt like I was going to die due to the operation pain. And ive had ongoing constipation, which I don't know the cause of, as at that time I stressed so much for a whole month without eating or sleeping properly. Will this qigong help me get better for good? how long will I need to do for? And is it best to do first thing in the morning before eating? or any time of day? thanks in advance, from a mum in England.

I have gallstones and am possibly over producing stomach acid and am trying to avoid surgery for my gallbladder, would this practice help or hurt me?
@TheNickLoffree4 жыл бұрын
I imagine this would be helpful. Generally lowering stress is going to be very good for all things digestive. If you have acid reflux that may be more due to the bile congestion in the gall bladder. Seeing an acupuncturist for traditional Chinese herbal therapy could help with the gallstones. If you want to DIY you might research and consult your doctor about the infamous "liver flush" protocol (using epsom salts, olive oil, and grapefruit juice to "flush" the bile ducts - although it is quite controversial so be wary).

I suffered from lpr (silent reflux) for over a year. I'm on an alkaline diet. Would qi gong be good for this please? 🙏
@TheNickLoffree4 жыл бұрын
It should help. Stress is often related. A lot of what we want in Qigong is to help our energy to "sink" to the lower abdomen. As the Qi sinks it should help your food to move downwards more too. Another routine that could help is this one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5PZd2angs9qrM0 I have also found supplementing with magnesium can help. And commonly the cause is actually lower in the digestive tract, such as constipation slowing the flow of food through the intestines, and the traffic jam backing up to the stomach and esophagus. Hope that helps! Nick
