I've been doubtful about pogo pins for a while. They have to make contact with the PCB, ergo, interference with PCB movement, unlikena wired connection where the cable can give/compress in ways impossible to practically detect. Put another way, the concept, although convenient, seems too rigid?
@alexotosКүн бұрын
@@KorsaKing on this particular config I feel like it was implemented much too stiff but they’ve done it better in the past which is what’s confusing to me
@qwertykeys2119Күн бұрын
@@alexotos yeah it's stiffer than neo70 i think; basically it's a fpc cable connected underneath with foam surrounding the pins themselves; it's just that there wasn't much height (in terms of room) to work with so users may feel harder when compared to other projects like neo80, ergo and 70

the comment on the cable, switch puller and keycap puller. a qk board was my first board and that switch puller is goated. i never used the cable, but thats only because i dont like coiled cables, and the keycap puller works well enough to keep

Between this and KRUSH65, which one should I get if I want a nice clacky, poppy, no foam, nice typing feel?

I like the optional stuff for many reasons. Sure, at home I have my setup pretty well established and have everything I need. But say I want to bring a different board to work than the one I usually do, or to a friend's house or whatever - it's nice to just be able to grab the case knowing that there's already cheap cable and tools in there and don't have to worry about it. If it was optional and was only gonna save me 5 bucks or so, I would probably add it every time. If it was a $20 add-on that would make me think twice
@SevericK_BooMКүн бұрын
If it’s 5 for all that stuff i absolutely want that stuff. I have like 8 keebs and am still using my qk cables. Most of my keebs haven’t came with cables.

The plastic latches on this board is extremely terrible, it gets loose really easily and the board is just not solid as a whole. Sound and feel wise is ok but definitely cannot recommend this board to anyone

I really wish they'd have gone with ball catches for this board rather than plastic clips honestly, at least if they really wanted to make it a screwless assembly. I know that lately QK wants to try new stuff for the sake of it but this is where they shouldn't have. Like some people in chat said, if those breaks you're done unless QK sell replacements for it. With ball catches you can just find which specs the board is using and just order them from any manufacturers or hardware stores that sell them. :/
@qwertykeys2119Күн бұрын
1. we've put extra clips in the kit for replacements 2. when 65v2 and 65v2classic were out, there are multiple solutions out there for fast assembly - back then we wouldn't know which one is preferred by western market, so we used different approaches on different keyboards (neo vs. qk) 3. we always try new stuff for the sake of it, just that the route that didn't win the market would end up as "unnecessary" attempts but it's all hindsight 4. most ball-catch systems are customized (as the room between cases are minimal) and i doubt you can find it in a random hardware store hopefully this would clear your concerns. cheers!
