These are some of our favorite commanders/characters from the plane of Ixalan! We're so hyped for Lost Caverns of Ixalan that we couldn't wait. We've got pirates, led by Admiral Beckett Brass, Tishana representing the merfolk, Elenda and Azor with vampires and knights, and of course a big red dinosaur called ETALI.

Etali leaves the revealed lands in exile. I run Oblivion Sower in my list for that reason :)

I built Elenda and Azor deck and it took me awhile to iron out its problems. But nonetheless it was a PRICELESS experience for me and now that i have it performing as i want it to, im simply in-love with that commander… One of its biggest problems is its NEED to ramp and get her out, otherwise you’re pretty dead in the water. I solved the mana issue by using 18-20 (you can do more but i was comfy with 18) mana rocks and wanting 2 mana rocks in youre starting hand.

I'm happy to see Elenda And Azor played. I have a deck made around them, although it is more of an everybody draws cards, but it hurts you kind of deck rather than a knight tribal deck. Essentially Esper Sheoldred, The Apocalypse.

so you went the wheeling route for the deck? i opted to not do that cuz i dont like others drawing cards 😅 I went the route of getting her out as early as i can to start drawing cards as early as i can. My goal was to get her out turn 4 or 5 and always leaving mana up for countermagic to protect her and my boardstate since its just 1 large investment

Dance with calamity requires all targets to be chosen before resolving. Copying the primus isn't an option.

Yeah, had a look at that while building Pako & Haldan. You can cast either side if the effect permits it (i.e. for Haldan any non-creature part of the adventure), but if you send a card on an adventure, the owner can then cast the card from exile.

Negative. The controller of the adventure spell gets to cast the creature later. Not the owner.

Tishana is NOT an underwhelming commander actually. Don’t olay any draw spells. Just play cheap dorks until can play Tishana early. Play Kinnan yo boost your mana production. And then, just play blink cards. Play Displacer Kitten. Play Prime Speaker Zagana. Play Return of the Wildspeaker etc. then Lab Man. Then blink Tishana until you win.
