To turn off the Achievements one, you turn it on, its off by default.. for some reason its the opposite way round lol I realised in your vid that the Achievement one was already off so I tried turning it on, I logged out and logged bk in and it no longer pops up Thank you for the Guide, it was very useful :)

For the achievements window, just tick the box for "move to login notification". I dont know what it actually does, but the window disappears, so I've never thought too deeply about it.

5:20 Near the bottom of that menu, check the box that says "Display achievements nearing completion as login notification". It doesn't turn it off completely, but it changes it to the little green things on the bottom corner with a timer on it where FC or friend invites pop up and it goes away on its own after a few seconds.

I'm sure it was mentioned but for achievements you want to check the box that says "Display achievements nearing completion as login notification". Then it just goes to your notices and times out on its own. o/

Best change I ever made was disabling popup flying text (aka everyone else's damage numbers), and only showing player names when targeted If you don't want to disable names entirely, there is also an option to change the size of all display names which helps a ton with readability imo

Loved the video, but I already adjusted the settings. I can't believe you haven't even unlocked any healer jobs, might have been the funniest part for me. My favorite answer to turning off the achievements popup was "CLEAR EVERY SINGLE ACHIEVEMENT" You're welcome.

I can't even recall the last time I saw someone fail a gaze mechanic, and if I did, I wouldn't be paying attention to them anywhere near enough to determine what movement setup they were using.

@@Xbob42 I've been through plenty statics for both DSR and TOP and had seen it a considerable handful of times (nidhogg dives and final omega monitors). And since i was in voice chat with them i knew they were legacy I will say though, I really don't understand why there's not a "legacy but holding right click still turns your character like in standard" control mode

@@utasora Yes, though I assumed by his response that he wanted to maximize uptime to the very last millisecond, which is the only way I can imagine people actually failing gaze mechanics. And using the mouse would keep your DPSin' hand free to do more damage uninterrupted.

only reason i prefer standard is because of mechanics that make you look away. on standard you can just rotate your camera with right mouse button to look away, but on legacy you need to move away. really gets on my nerves

Standard player here. Clear savage all the time without needing to change the controls. Really, just play whatever control scheme works for you. I don't mind my right mouse being almost perma-pressed. Hell.... I..... I even CLICK ABILITIES!

for standard; gaze mechs as a caster (bc you don’t have to look at the boss while casting if you are in melee range) blue mage has some weird tech with it too but it’s blue mage

Legacy ast is rough without bc you can’t keep your character from turning to your card targets during your 2 minutes. (Targeted anything does this but it’s most egregious on ast)

My guy, you can free up Q and E by binding A and D to strafe instead of their default, which you should do regardless of movement setting you are using tbh. But other than that, I do agree overall that legacy is better, especially for raiding.

I use standard movement and I am just fine in content lol. That is a personal preference and there are many high end players who use Standard. You are basically telling the community " play this way because its better " However that is a subjective position.
