Thank you for all your Pa-5X tutorials! I bought one, because making music in my DAW feels more like programming and I set up another "Live Rig" music corner in my room with the Pa-5X and another synthesizer. Maybe a suggestion for another video: With v1.3 Korg introduced another sound format and supports the Tx16wx sampler. I started DAW projects with this plugin and want to create my own styles, which can then be transferred to the arranger. But I still don't know exactly, how the chord recognition of an arranger keyboard translates notes and chords of MIDI patterns. You know probably way more about this. But it's a quite exotic subject and of little interest for the "normal" arranger user.

Thankyou Qui for your demo's of the Pa5X. I recently upgraded my Genos to a Korg Pa5X and the best decision i have made. The fantastic rhythms are one of best selling points of this instrument. The Yamaha Genos in contrast remains very staid in this respect and still an instrument best suited for the home. The Pa5X has a more modern feel to it with lush sounds and perfect for live performance as well as studio use.

I use OBS studio, there I have assigned two video captures which records in realtime. The HDMI is captured with a usb HDMI adapter from the pa5x.

Unfortunately, with the new OS 1.30 Keyboard has an issue with the internal midi sync problem for an example if you insert a sample loop to drum track or percussion track. It doesn’t play in sync.

Originally that was my intention to create a modwave wavetable synthesis series, but I always monitor the likes and views of the videos and I've noticed that not many people liked or watched the modwave videos, so I've canceled that series due to a lack of interest.

Your OS version: Go to HOME screen and press FILE and press button on top right (3 horz lines) and press SYSTEM INFO and you got your latest OS Version

Hope its ok to post this here: New version: Matrix preset Setlist and Chord etc. Took my bup KST before installing the new version. All ok Matrix setlist/chord update visible, but when loaded back my KST bup this was not visible anymore. Is there a way to fix this, and keep all the settings stored as it was before the installation of the new version ? Thank you !

@@Totto_D sure, it's really easy to solve, just do the following steps: after loading your old backup you will notice that the kaos presets are gone and the matrix settings are revert to your old default setup and that the new chord sequence and set list settings aren't available anymore for the matrix pads. Here is how to solve this: - press the file button - press the menu button - press the factory restore tile - UNCHECK the All checkbox - Check the settings checkbox - press Restore button on your screen now all your old data is still in there but you have restored the new OS1.3 settings. If you made any changes to the settings in os1.2.1 then just modify these settings again manually now so that you have a correct OS1.3 settings file. (If you can't remember them then just make photos of those pages before you do the factory restore of the settings, so that you know what to modify.

I put my device up for sale in order to replace it with a Yamaha 5000 device. It supports Arabic and Western sound and rhythm, is even easier to use, and has very strong support from the company regarding updates. I was very disappointed in Korg unfortunately

Still disappointed that there are no Japanese styles added. Come on guys Japanese anime soundtracks are a big thing these days. Why are they still absent from an instrument made by a Japanese company?

there is one japanese style in this set, but I agree, it would be nice to see some anime styles on keyboards, but I never saw them on any keyboard. I do play a lot of the anime songs on the piano though (without styles), my favorite tune to play on the piano is One summer's day (from Spirited Away)

@@quirobinez There are a lot of styles covered by anime soundtrack music. Most of which are cross compatible with more western styles. A lot of great modern jazz styles from Yohko Kanno, for instance. I've also taught my self to play some parts of Spirited Away piano solos. But I would love some styles that work in this category of moods. I have yet to learn to play Ryo Kawasaki's wonderful music from Fumetsu no Anata e. Realistically, about 1-2% of the included styles are "useful" to me.

In fact, I deeply regretted purchasing this device, as the company is not at all interested in Arab musicians, neither in their voices nor in their rhythms, unlike Yamaha, which satisfies all players in every country.

@@hmadani02 sorry to hear that, but these keyboards are expensive, so if you are unhappy then if I were you I would exchange it for a yamaha genos if you really believe that this better suits your needs. It makes no sense to keep something you are not happy with.

If you had done your homework and researched before buying, you would have found that Korg has different versions of the Pa5X, including the Pa5X Musikant and the Pa5X Oriental. The Oriental version covers all you are looking for.
