QS Rankings Unfair: Philippines' Top Universities of 2024 - Insult to PH

A total of 16 Philippine universities were hailed as some of the best in Asia in the Quacquarelli-Symonds 2024 Asia University Rankings released on Wednesday. However, I believe our universities are worth a lot more than the ratings that QS gave them.
The top four ranks are still occupied by the same universities from the 2023 rankings: the University of the Philippines at 78, followed by the Ateneo de Manila University at 137; De La Salle University at 154; and the University of Santo Tomas at 179. Included in the top 10 are Adamson University, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, University of San Carlos, Mapúa University, Silliman University, and Ateneo de Davao University.
Meanwhile, the following universities made their first appearance in the rankings: the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and the University of San Carlos at 551-600, the Far Eastern University at 701-750, and the Mindanao State University at 801+.

Philippines universities/colleges ranked low in the category of research. Those top Asian schools had extensive and well funded research programs resulting to their higher rank. This was cited by the company that released the QS ranking.

Our universities deserve better rankings. This is evidenced by high demand by foreign employers.

Very questionable rankings by QS especially comparing our universities with lesser known Asian universities.

Yes to Philippine schools. However, QS rankings are biased. PH universities are not favorites.

QS ranking is unfair you say? However, there are 16 universities in the Philippines who made the cut but you opted to just speak about the 10 universities and totally disregarded the other 6. QS ranking is unfair, and so are you!
