I'm a big Morphagene fan & more so since 155 hit but my ears keep telling me as I listen to this video that the Nebulae is much sweeter sounding at this game. Thanks.

Paul B yes definitly sweeter but the roughness of the Morphegene (especially with some fx) is pretty awesome to👌🏽

I agree. I couldn't part with the MG but I could add a Nebulae for good company. Better get saving!

Great video! Agree with your notes. If I was forced to choose between them though, it would be a tough one :)

State Azure well i will definitly make some pieces using them both. As you mentioned before. Always good to have some extra granular on the side !👍🏼

Thanks, this is very helpful. I love Make Noise as a company, but after this comparison I'm inclined to go for the Nebulae. There's a huge price difference and the features of the Nebulae actually seem a bit nicer. Will be a long time before I'll get either though, I've got enough toys to play around with for quiet a while :)

Thanks for posting this. I have been comparing the two for some time now and i just can't get over the grainy sound of the morphagene. The thing i like about the morphagene is the clock in which is great, but, the nebulae is smoother and more "musical" to my ears.
@LittleAmbientMachine6 жыл бұрын
AnalogAssailant thanks man. Well i’m a bit further with both by now and i think the splicing on the Morpha is also a really cool feature. Especially when you take the time to prepare your reals.

The Nebulae behave the way I would expect it. If they fix the issues you've mentioned below the video, it should be a no-brainer.

An informative comparison for sure. That freeze is sweet.

Great demo! Now I want one, probably the nebulae 🎶✨❤️

AsteroidKillerMusic thanks, and yes Nebulae is pretty awesome right?!

Excellent. You have helped me choose the right one for me. Thanks!

Thanks. Hard to really tell the time stretching capabilities of Morphagene without seeing the pitch knob adjusted, but a nice comparison nevertheless.

Nice! Thanks for the Video! Will buy the Nebulae also. Both a perfect together 😎

Tony did you keep both? I have the neb 2. I really like the morph is the latest update more live friendly? Or just more options that need a computer to set? Thx

I love granular stuff I have the nebulae and it's definitely my favorite module I just got the loadrunner as I love the screen, it's cool but the nebulae rules! We need to jam sometime, seriously we play very similar styles
@cardboardmusic2 жыл бұрын
Nice comparisons. Did they make the changes to the Nebulae that you suggested? Secondly, after all this time, are you still using both as much, or did one take more precedence over the other?
@snoopyoverthehills6 жыл бұрын
can you sync the nebulae to ext. clock?
@jonaseggen22306 жыл бұрын
The Nebulae seems a bit more hands on to me. I also have trouble with the Make Noise fonts and I read Preserver Pants on the Pressure point module. I guess that something one gets used to but I still find the layout confusing and untidy. Here is another comparison with another conclusion: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oGfan3StjKuSaKM
@LittleAmbientMachine6 жыл бұрын
Yeah i've seen this one. it al depends on what you want/expect. And what your taste is. To be honest i really enjoy both. What I truly dislike about Nebulae is that it doesn't remember the settings (pitch / speed)after you turn it off !
@jonaseggen22306 жыл бұрын
That pitch / speed issue might be solved in some later update maybe. Should be possible I guess. Yes I would go for both if I had the money, but to be honest I need other modules first, like modulation, mixers, mult, clock, logic, a quantizer and so on. I'm therefor at the moment mostly buying things on the secondhand market. But at some point definitely one of them. Nebulae probably, but the harshness or graininess of that Morphagen is really nice to. As he says, a bit more organic maybe? But that is also why according to my ears they go so well together, as I also really like the cleaner sound of that Nebulae. A bit more actually... These two videos made more sense of my MI Clouds btw. : )

The textures coming from the Morphagene with some reverb is great, but the smooth sounds of the Nebulae are sweet too…I’m torn. Might get both haha

Oh and btw, I tried to submit an email on your website using the email submission function but it gave me an error, the message couldn’t send :( Was going to ask about possible Zoom call for eurorack system advice

@@advaita9156 Hi and thanks for reachin out. I fixed the form on the website. It went online 4 days ago and today i also found out that the form wasn't working. Anyway fixed it.! About the video:I think the Morphagene has a bit more character over the Nebulae. Also i think it has more functions. The nebulae can have multiple functions and granular is one of them, it does this very well though but i do miss the extra options and i didn't like the other settings, i only used the granular on the Nebulae. So in the end i sold the Nebulae and still have the morphagene. Having both doesn't really make sense unless you like the other machines/functions on the Nebulae. I'm more into modules that can do one thing really good rather than modules with multiple functions. So if you want you can send me an email :) Cheers Mike

Thanks!I don't feel like one is better than the other, better to have both)

I find that the Morphagene is a really quiet module ...it can’t really compete with the volume of my oscillators. It’s really annoying. Especially when you slow down speed/pitch. Is nebulae the same way?
@zaneaustin224 жыл бұрын
You can choose the input gain on the morphagene BTW
@kazakore8 ай бұрын
You have the Qu-Bit Nebulae Blend knob fully counter clockwise so you are using it in Phase Vocoder mode and not Granular mode at all. No surprise they sound so different and not really a fair comparison.
@LittleAmbientMachine8 ай бұрын
It has been a long time ago. The firmware on both have been updatet, as far as i remember i did use the granular mode. Also i'm not dishing either of them so i guess fairness is not at stake here :) In the end these are two great modules !
@MrFlatlandcycle6 жыл бұрын
Does Tiptop Audio Z-DSP have similar functions?
@naturarum6 жыл бұрын
damn, nebulae can really get into paulstretch territory. I'll wait until Qu-Bit actually update it to add sample saving and parameter quicksave, but once they do that it's gonna be hard resisting getting one! by the way what sample are you using? kinda sounds like bing & ruth.
@housemachine5096 жыл бұрын
Tough decision I’m wondering if you can slice at specific points and if that will ever be a feature
@LittleAmbientMachine6 жыл бұрын
Well at this moment no. And to tell you the truth i don't know if this will be possible in the future. I just hope Qu-bit will come up with a save function. It's pretty annoying not be able to save settings and so.
