Why the half reps on the smith squat after good ROM on everything else?

With that smith machine angle and for the purpose of that exercise that's as far as I can go before I start rounding my back. Even I thought it wasn't a full ROM when looking at the video but I remember going as low as I could when I was doing it. Good observation.

Your partner wanted to do a drop on Leg Extension because that is the one movement he connected with. If he can find that connection on his compounds his quads will grow like yours

He does drop sets in general to increase volume in his leg session in a short period of time. The leg extension happens to be very safe to do so. We spent some time finding a rep range and an exercise selection that suited more of his needs than mine (since legs are a strong body part for me).

Your style of training changed my view on HIT. Its like Metzer / Yates mix but better because of focus on weak parts. Do you think weak parts should be trained more frequent or more sets on given day for that muscle group?

Yes the principles are similar but I adapted it to my needs. Weak body parts should definitely be prioritized. I typically add some volume in the form of more exercises, or more intensity techniques, etc but I found that it's not that much before I start stalling my progress. First it's more important in my opinion to select the right exercises and in the right order.

@@agostinorussotraining tnx. Yes order is important. First exercise which stimulate the most that weak body part 🙏
