Except he did the test with both the old one and the new one so of course its accurate. The heated gear makes no difference to the charging capacity of a phone plug. A bike like this can handle a ton of stuff just on the alternator

Yeah that is also an option with these, but i already have the socket for my heated jacket attached directly to the battery. Cheers Malcom.

Hey Billy! Thanks for your videos, they really helped me make my choice. Complete set quadlock is ordered and on its way! I was just wondering: is that usb socket actually weatherproof? Not much use having your wireless charger weatherproof, but the USB port flooding with water... Especially because it's open on the top. Appreciate any insights/experiences you might have. Cheers!

Hey Olaf, no problem mate. The usb socket is closed whenever im not using it, it has a little door on the top, its been used whilst it’s been raining as well, so far no issues, but I wouldn’t use it in a prolonged downpour.

Hi Billy, just installing a complete Quad Lock system on my Honda CBR650 in Thailand, after serious camera problems (iPhone 11) when using a more simple mount. The wireless charger is a great feature, but it seems like the lip that releases the phone is not part of the wireless unit socket, and it looks like the phone may come off by accident more easily...or what?

Sounds good, and having installed it, all seems very reliable. Just hope the vibration damper does the job now, iPhone 11’s main cam is not too happy with high-rev bikes 😅

I hope you know that its not just the charger output, but also the cable itself.... And, on top of that, your phone needs to support fast charging. If you are not using a good cable, its not going to do much.
