Is there a large difference in the heat output when comparing low to high? I have a 2 story house (1200 sf finished first floor, 1300 sf upstairs) Is it possible to have a small load and have it on low/ med-low and get a mild output? I want to make sure the output isnt too high

In looking to buy the discovery 2 stove, but I read hear on u tube that some stoves are not meant to be used all the time. Is the discovery capable of having a roaring fire everyday..or should I get a more conventional heavier built stove.

As a dealer in Alaska we sell a lot of stoves. I can tell you that the majority of our customers do run their stoves all winter. The only thing I would suggest is going up one size larger than your space requires. This will allow you to get longer burn times with less effort from the stove. This will also ensure good coverage should you get abnormally cold weather.

I have the same stove and going on my third winter with it ... Wish I would have bought the Blaze King. This stove will not damper down and I cannot load the firebox to capacity or it will run away.. Dealer said its all good, manufacturer wont talk with me because I’m not a deal. Dealer agrees it burns out of control but manufacturer stats its normal. So I would not buy it again for me. I wanted to load it up and go to bed. Cant do it, due to fire box heating up to 700+ deg when I do. So I have to make small loads and either restart the fire in the AM or get up every 2-3 hrs and place another log or two on it. On the plus side, It looks Great and was the look I wanted. It also puts out good heat. .. and yes I have changed the door gasket..

Have heard this is an issue - could the ACC be stuck on, this is the mechanical part that pumps in the oxygen at the start of the burn? I have no idea - just doing my research on which heater to buy. Will check out the Blaze King as you suggest.

Thank you for info, am considering one these models to replace a 25y.o. Jotul 3cb...this stove has same issue w/ over burn especially when using bio products

Oh. I just saw one of this stoves at our local fireplace store and fell in love with it.. keep reading it’s not the best.. does the top gets hot? To boil water? Cook?
