Watched a few of your videos, picked up a few tips. I'll check out your parts list, seems that you have a more complete rebuild kit than I have been using. One thing you failed to mention was that the power piston lock ring (the replacement one) always fits too tight & you have to increase the gap slightly to get it to fit properly. Also, the raised lip goes up not down.

New retainer is tight to hold in place. We do file the gap and clean up edges. Yes. Raised lip is up.

Awesome. Wish I had known about you before I rebuild my carb. Still working on it. Install bushings drill and tap wells then Marine Tex it. Now I want to get the kit to replace my factory primary needles with the upgraded taperd and the tool kit to adjust the power needles. Also looked everywhere for the small hardened throtle blade screws and all I could find was the zinc pan tipe. I drove those in then I stake them like factory but Im contemplating to grind them and get some from you. Are they just like the factory one. Do they petrude to get stake. Oh man too many ? Keep it up. And Thankx for sharing the knowledge

My Quadrajet is for a 396 BBC and it has a vent hole with thin metal strips and a valve on the top at the front. It is connected to the power valve by metal rod. I recently rebuilt it but I had it apart for about a week while waiting for parts and I forgot how that part went back together. The diagram on the carb kit doesnt show it, do you know where I can find pictures of this?
