Thanks so much for this guys! Really cool to see these early QJ's and how they evolved after some early mistakes. Seems like Rochester was really good at correcting designs that just didn't work well. There's almost nothing on KZbin that deals with these early ones, great to see them getting a bit of attention. Lots of 66' Toro's still out there that use these and I'm sure there's other cars that have them. What PN carb is this anyway? Looking at that choke and the fuel inlet, is this a 7026250? Other than the secondary dampening system, and the fuel inlet plunger thing, it seems like just about everything else is pretty standard to the later year QJ's?

I would love to see a vid regarding fuel starvation verses float size. This crap fuel now days, my engine runs out of of fuel right before my shift point at 6400. My fuel pressure is at 6 psi across the board.

I will add that to video list. Get our high flow needle seat and set float to 1/4”. And make sure you have plenty of volume to the carb. Our car is 600+ hp and doesn’t run out of fuel with a quadrajet.

How did you go about connecting the linkage that runs inside the carb to the choke? Its not connected in the video.

i recently rebuilt my quadrejet for the first time and it seems when i manually depress the accelerator pump only one stream of fuel is visible going into the passenger side of the carb and not both, is this normal or did i mess up somewhere?

you should have two streams. You must have some blockage in one of the passages, either in the body or in the air horn.
