I can tell you so far it's AMAZING! I swear it rides better than stock. With the triple rate coils up front, and the quad rate coils in the back, it's very comfortable on the road. I can't wait to get it out on some trails.
@millstonejeepworx4 жыл бұрын
They gave you the wrong front swaybar links. The 'nolimits' kit is for Rubicons only and has the big heavier duty front links that do not have to be disconnected. The front links they gave you are for the sport or overland. Same thing happened to me when I ordered my kit. They sent me the wrong front links but they corrected it right away. Love the kit, rides and drives beautiful!! For anyone not taking the axle out to install the cradle. It can easily be done on the lift, remove the spare tire and heat shield and you will be able to move around in there to drill and tap the holes on the top of the axle housing
@spencergaither86604 жыл бұрын
Cool. I ordered mine last week.waiting to show up to get installed. My question is I didnt think you should be welding on axles tube. Dosent it effects the axles shafts from the heat.
@millstonejeepworx4 жыл бұрын
@@spencergaither8660 From what I understand you have to do it in stages. Do an inch on one side, go to the other side, back and forth allowing it to cool a bit in between. I didn't weld mine. Mine is only bolted on but eventually I will when I regear and go up to 40s but that is down the road a bit.
@spencergaither86604 жыл бұрын
@@millstonejeepworx I kind of thought that also. I'm having mine Installed. Just for warranty stuff. But if all runs good and first rechecking on bolts and alignment I'll weld mine myself to help. Just running 37" tires. And not expecting heavy rock bouncing. Lol.but never know!!😛
@rob_quadratec4 жыл бұрын
Good catch Harold! With everything going on right now, I had to install the kit with the front sway bar disconnects, instead of the "no limits" links. RK has already shipped me out a set of the correct "no limits" links and I'll be swapping them in right away. Good news is that either link will work just fine, especially for a couple days of driving on the road.

Rob didn't reuse the Rubicon Fox Shocks. He installed new Rock Krawler 2.25 RRD Spec shocks with the kit. The OE shocks would not be long enough for the increased ride height and flex.

looking good!! Will have to get that lift. Question though, what and where do you get that tire assist! That looks like it would prevent the lower back strain that can happen when installing tires and wheels.
@rob_quadratec4 жыл бұрын
Definitely! I've got some lower back issues, so lifting and installing a 37" tire is no fun! You can find them online or in some stores, they're either called a truck tire wheel dolly or a lever wheel dolly. Definitely makes removing and installing wheels and tires much easier on your body!

Your garage looks awesome by the way. Would you mind sharing where you got the wood for the walls?

The wheels look awesome. I do like the suspension. How did you measure that the axle was imbalance side to side?
@rob_quadratec4 жыл бұрын
I didn't show it in the video, but I set the Jeep down on to jack stands, so the weight of the Jeep was sitting on the axles. Then I took a measurement using a straight edge off the brake discs to the fenders. Then just raised it back up and made the adjustments.

So if your-it a 3” lift on a rubicon, does it raise the rubicon 1-1/2” for a total of 3” or does it raise it 3” for a total of 4-1/2”?

@frankwgregoryiii63473 жыл бұрын
When you replaced your wheels with larger ones did you loose any performance in your auto transmission? I have the sport with Dana 44 front and rear and the 3.73 axle ratio. My last Jeep was a manual transmission and with 34.5 inch tires I lost 6th gear cruise control. Any road incline it would slow till cruise cut out..
@Quadratec3 жыл бұрын
Yes, when you increase tire size, you should also think about re-gearing the axle ratio. With 3.73 from the factory you will definitely loose performance. If you jump up to a 37" tire, you'll probably want to think about re-gearing to either a 4.56 or 4.88 ratio.
