Your channel has been growing quick bud. Great to see a Tennessee guy who has put in lots of work over the years on his channel and business doing well and picking up new sponsors. Best wishes on your future growth. Stay safe and warm out there. Thanks for the video.

I always try reversing it. See if it might free the TXV. Surprise the unit isn’t on snow legs. Good to see I’m not the only one who writes the weigh on the tank.

Hello Zac, I do not know what happened but I could not activate the subtitles to Spanish, change the ideome in the configurations of Yotube, changing your voice to be able to listen to it in Spanish, great contribution I think that if previously someone had already gone to diagnose that equipment time ago and manipulate badly at the moment of carrying out refrigerant gas load could not have put air into the system and leave non-condensable gases that over time would react with the oil and prove that the valve of Does expansion stick? I send you a strong friend hug from Mexico and I wish that your channel continues to grow you always learn something new with you. I am Cesar I hope the translation goes well and you can understand what I meant!!! 😅

The only thing I would have done differently is try securing the bulb to the discharge line. I know they have electric heat to get them by but it’s a quick way to try and get that TXV to open. Again they have electric heat so doesn’t really matter. Good stuff 🤙🏻
@murkyturkey52388 күн бұрын
Never thought about that, thank you 😂
@christian818469 күн бұрын
I thought that was great! You didn’t waste any time once you added a small amount of refrigerant, you seen right away just like how I was telling myself. I think there’s a restriction cause I seen refrigerant going in but not coming out. Then you gave me confirmation that’s exactly what it was. Only thing is I would’ve liked to see you try and manually open the txv like you said with you hand to see if a difference would occur

I agree with a couple of the others… I would have energized the reversing valve… you could have initiated a defrost cycle…. But good work.. I’m a 40 yr +. Service tech Doing residential and light commercial … last 24 working on Trane equipment..

Curious to know what happened? Had the same situation on a trane. EEV went then the sensor on the new one. Worked in heat but not ac. They sell a magnetic tool now to open them.

I would have hooked up gauges and broken O. From the readings then, could determine outdoor or indoor txv issue... or if it's a charge problem.

What I like about non heat pump system, not outside working on a heat issue outside ;)

I’ve swapped 3 outdoor TXVs in the last 2 days. All York systems under 2 years old 🤔
@GaBoysOutdoors12 күн бұрын
So it was just stacking refrigerant basically with that outdoor txv?

Seems like this video is pre arranged and already diagnosed before the video comes on. Would like to see it all from beginning and end and see what steps you take.

So it is good to have a heat pump in tx since sometimes it snows and gets cold I’ve heard they do not work good in cold weather

For all the issues I have had with Trane, they are still one of the best brand out there.
@pvtgarry10 күн бұрын
Disagree. Train is so proprietary with their parts it makes it difficult to find parts sometimes. But you sir are entitled to have your opinion. Hope you have a great year.
@jonathanrobinson294910 күн бұрын
@pvtgarry, I agree that parts can be hard to get, but it also depends on the supplier.

@@pvtgarry yep 5 weeks to get a outdoor txv from trane they suck. icp and lennox i always gets parts same week
@bassam1992MR11 күн бұрын
I use a similar way to figure out whats going on, and if i fine a bad outdoor TXV, i usually run the AC for few minutes and if it works fine then im sure its the outdoor TXV, that unit probably has an EXV

Almost every trane I find a refrigerant leak on is the transition from copper to aluminum on the very bottom of the condenser coil
@manhpham8052Күн бұрын
quick question, i am a newbie. i know during heat mode we hook up low side to true suction, what a about the high side gauge, i seen you hook up to the liquid line. i used to hook high side to the vapor line which is hot gas line in heat mode. so which it a better choice and can you explain
@andrewkalkofen975110 күн бұрын
You could bypass the low pressure switch so you don't have to hold the contactor in. Keep a jumper in your bag.
@mitchmacleod757511 күн бұрын
If you weigh out the charge when you recover youll have a good idea if the system is low
