To be real the idea of doing strange things actually breaking the time loop is really cool

I used this premise in an RPG I ran. Basically everyone was in a Matrix-like simulation that procedurally generated the world as it was needed. In order to escape the simulation the PCs needed to trigger a glitch in the system by doing so much random unpredictable shit that the system couldn't keep up. Part of the world would fail to render, and that's how you "escape", basically noclipping into a dev area.

Honestly, time loops for me end on their own, when given enough time. I just check my calendar when I log in, to see if the day is repeating or not. Nothing "fun" really seems to happen those days though.

Actually time loops are relative, your actions do have consequences outside the time loop and looping is a sign of diverging local timelines. The nature of the time loop is important in determining how you leave the time loop, your best bet is to hope it is a precessing time loop that eventually terminates. Just like how black holes have closed space like curves, time loops can be treated similarly with a closed timeline curve, and may contain a virtual event horizon. Leaving this virtual event horizon will leave the time loop, an "escape velocity" if you will. Some time loops require impossible "escape velocities" these are true time loops whose elements are causally trapped and will terminate at the end of the time loop, like falling into a black hole, it will be gone from the universe after the time in which it occupies has past (from an outside observer). To leave such time loops require you create your own time, or bring some with you, this requires a time machine, these time loops are the most difficult to escape from.
