An S90D owner who upgraded from an LGC1, here to tell anyone who wants to doubt anything Quantum is showing here, don’t! It literally is a whole different world with the proper perceptual calibrated settings! Literally is like being in the same room with whatever you’re watching! Looking through a screen instead of looking at a screen! Complete 3-D like experience! And again that’s coming from the LGC1 which has been by far the best of their TVs in the last few years not this mess that they’re trying to sell you this year! Just such a far fall that you can clearly see in front of your eyes here! Don’t let brand loyalty cause you to make a bad decision! If you’re going to save up money and get a new TV for yourself get one with a true experience that will change your life and make the money you spent worth it!

I have lg cx and I watched mad max fury road in 4k and the colours looked great. Red on guitar was red and flames were realistic.

LG is not in competition with Samsung. LG fokus on burn in ; whyle Samsung fokus on how they can beat LG. Even next year LG might increase the white pixel fore more brighteness just to avoid pixel burn

You could adjust the LG to look exactly like the Samsung if you know how to set all the adjustments. LG comes factory default with cold colors settings, you need to first change that on white levels and turn it to warm. This C4 that you are showing has the settings adjusted like shit.

You're not talking about black issues on Samsungs. I had an S90C and many times in dark scenes only black was visible. Very poor gray gradation

I will never buy WOLED again. Chrominance overshoot, posterization issues, color washout in hdr and even in sdr with reds. RGB layout is just the way to go. White subpixel needs to disappear for good.

You're not crazy. And you definitely don't have to a defective unit. The LG G4 is wildy washed out. The S90D is about to blow you away if you join and get my settings. But it won't be too impressive out of the box.

Out of interest, why compare the LG C4 to the Samsung S90/S95D? I mean surely the fair comparison is the LG G4, right? Maybe I am missing something, but itn't that the more appropriate comparison this year? As much as the S90D/S95D looks colorful, people look "life like" instead of dead, and the reds are truly red instead of orange, etc, a lot of folks will still go with the LG ... cause things like Dolby Vision, DTS support, overall Quality Control, perhaps even motion, the processing (3d effect), and even little annoying stuff like no source/input button on the Samsung remote, will weigh more in the end, instead of the colorful, saturated Qd panel you get with the Samsung.
