I love the casualness and give-and-take of conversation during Paula's quarantine shows. It's so real, just like family and friends behave when they feel comfortable with one another and don't need to watch every word. And I feel like I'm sitting right there in the kitchen with them. Love it! Such a wonderful diversion during this time of isolation.

I remember the first time I ever had Tomato Pie. My older sister took me to lunch at a beautiful little restaurant that used to be an old antebellum mansion. It had dark wood floors and huge round tables with snow white tablecloths. It was a meat-and-three style and they served every kind of Southern dish known to man. My sister talked me into trying the pie. I did, and I could not believe how good it was. This was several decades ago. I don't remember what else I got that day, but I still remember that incredible first taste of Tomato Pie. This show brought back some lovely memories. Thanks, Paula! Now to find some decent tomatoes and make one again!

I want to thank you so much for the quick little cooking videos you have offered during this unsettling time we all are experiencing. They have been life savers for me. It has been a welcome break to watch the videos and take my mind off my current situation. My household consists of 2 grown children who recently moved back in to start college and are considered essential workers, my husband who is still considered essential, and my parents. My parents moved into our mothers in law quarters about a year ago and it has been a blessing. My father had a stroke about 2 years ago and his personality has changed dramatically. He is very short tempered with no patience. My Mom right before the pandemic starting having some very severe memory issues and we were just starting to see doctors for the condition. The pandemic has definitely made getting any appointments scheduled for further testing difficult. Meanwhile, we just wait and pray that it does not get any worse before we can get a diagnosis. All of this on top of I am a teacher. I have never been very good with technology but have been thrown into teaching 23 kiddos virtually for 3 months. It has been a challenge. I realize my situations could be much worse and feel very fortunate in a lot of ways. It is my hope that all find a happy place to help cope with our current situation. Mine happens to be cooking and your videos have been wonderful. Thank you!!!!!!!!

I had to see this to the end, because i have never cooked with mayo and wanted to see how it looked. Being English, this type of open top pie would be called a flan or if you want to be posh, a quiche and these would use eggs as the binding ingredient. But Paula's pie looked lovely and gooey and one of the main ingredients of real mayonnaise is eggs. I definitely will give this a try as it looked so easy, especially as this is quarantine time and we are using things in the cupboard rather than going out to shop.

Tip :)) The recipe calls for you to peel them because tomatoes are 'Nightshade vegetables which belong to the family of plants with the Latin name Solanaceae. Potatoes, tomatoes, peppers and eggplants are all common nightshade vegetables. ... They claim that harmful substances found in these vegetables may contribute to inflammatory bowel disease and other autoimmune conditions.' You should really deseed them too. 100% Italian sauce is Italian because it's made with the tomatoes deseeded and skins peeled. Best way to cook nightshade veg is to pressure cook them :)) I was surprised when I came to the States to hear pizza being called pie; here in England Paula's pie is called quiche... a pie here in England usually has a pastry lid and is glazed with whisked egg or milk to give it that golden baked look. My mum made the best corned beef ash pie and savoury mince meat pie:) What a lovely lady; really enjoyed the video, and that cauliflower moment is classic!! Thank you and God Bless your genius President; he is truly amazing as is FLOTUS. I think he's the best President in the world, ever!

Believe it or not, it’s new to me, and as much as we love tomatoes, you can also believe I’ll be trying this real soon. And, then as soon as our tomatoes start getting ripe, I’m sure it’s going to be a regular repeat on our Saturday table! I looks delicious; I can’t wait. You’ve never steered me in a wrong direction yet! Um um UM! ⚡️💖⚡️from a true follower in the Piney Woods of East Texas!

This Illinois girl has never heard of tomato pie. It looks amazing! My husband won't eat fresh tomatoes... he likes them cooked so this pie will fit the bill! Thank you Paula!! 🥧❤️

5 or 6 servings of cooked tomatoes are a great defense against prostate cancer, reducing the risk by 28%, so cook him up all he can eat!
