Quality of the sound is so much better here. I have heard this song in expensive sound equipment, and speakers, from LP record. But even there the line "விலக்கி வைப்பாயோ? விளக்கி வைப்பாயோ?" ல ள difference did not come out this clearly. And I am listening on a simple lap top speaker. புரியாததாலே திரை போட்டு வைத்தேன், ... மறைத்திடும் திரைதனை விலக்கி வைப்பாயோ விளக்கி வைப்பாயோ " ...very nice.

@@vbalaji2305 Thanks. I realized it latter. I always confused Suddha saranga with kaapi and hamir kalyaani. I didn't learn carnatic but learned through cine songs. 40 - 45 years before, Cylon radio broad cast a program in the name of திரை தந்த இசை. I learned ragas through that and developed later on. We can also enumerate a few other songs in raag suddha saranga. சந்திரோதயம் ஒரு பெண்ணானதோ. கேட்டதெல்லாம் நான் தருவேன். இரவும் நிலவும் மலரட்டுமே. கொஞ்சநேரம் என்னை மறந்தேன்.

Talking about the literary richness of the song, i remember subhashree on someone else explaining the subtle use of words by Kaviyarasu to denote the intense feeling of love of the heroine (sumitra here) for the hero (kamal)but at the same time having doubts on his character: "என் வாழ்க்கை நதியில் கறை ஒன்று கண்டேன், உன் நெஞ்சில் ஏனோ கறை ஒன்று கண்டேன்." - meaning of கறை bring different in these two places, and "திரை போட்டு வைத்தேன் (ஆனால்) அணை "போடவில்லை These lines bring out the genius of kannadasan and his play of words!!
