Yes the smell of the brine is not nice. It's better to use dry peas and soak overnight. Yes its longer but good cooking takes time.. not disrespecting the quarantine chef.. he's doing a grand job 👍🏾

This is a nice idea, but the beauty of cooking the red beans from scratch is the nice color it give to the stew peas when done, but love your idea, definitely will impart some of it to my way of cooking stew peas, a lovely meatless idea for my lent diet. Btw, where the little spinners?😭
