Walking Through Flowers- I know! It was new to me too. I couldn’t find the exact kind in stock, but this is similar : www.wayfair.com/outdoor/pdp/backyard-x-scapes-rolled-bamboo-fencing-xbx1087.html I’d stalk wayfair a bit and see when sales happen. I know big box home improvement stores like Lowe’s and hone depot sells them, but they’re a bit more $$$. Search “bamboo privacy fence” Happy hunting!

Great job, nice patio! Just to help you, power wash the sidewalks , patio, shovel off the low spots that have dirt on them first...You will be amazed how new everything will look....and the weeds will be gone in all the concrete areas.....What a nice walkway and patio you have! Good job. Take a bucket of water, and a soft rag drenched with DAWN, dish detergent...wash the white fence, then rinse , use a watering can ....it is amazingly easy.....

FYI, I hope you read this. Bamboo gets moldy fast, even in not so wet of climates. I don't know if the bamboo you purchased was treated, but you may want to do a few heavy coats of something like polyurethane to protect it. It really is pretty. My folks have bamboo growing on their property and I plan to cut a bunch to line our 4-foot-tall chain link fence, too. But we will have to do it one shoot at a time. I hope it turns out as lovely as yours.

Very nice change on your patio! I can imagine you'd like to get a power washer - maybe you can rent one for a few hours or a full day? Power wash the concrete of the patio sidewalk beyond the gate, and the area where your little dining set is. I think you'd be surprised at how it would brighten up things! But the bamboo - oh my - so nice. I barely noticed any differences in height or bumping out. Because it's such a natural material, it's kinda not meant to be perfect. But it fits the patio perfectly anyway! Congrats!

Girl, you are a natural! ♥ What a great video, and inspiring to the budget minded! I bought a house & right after I signed on the line, both of my jobs hit pause due to the pandemic. I was lucky, and was recovered my main job within 2.5 months. Not the 2nd one yet, but I'm clicking along! lol! I have 5 young grandchildren so I had an estimate to put in a privacy fence for the house I bought, and it went up over 2 grand! ( The price of wood has increased to some insane levels. Yikes!) Soooo I scrapped that idea & have been researching how to combine fast growing trees (like Nellie Stevens Holly) with panels or sections with a natural look. Ran across your video while researching and loved what you did with your little courtyard / garden. Thank you for sharing, it looks so wonderful. Inspiring. ♥ Honey, keep making videos. You have that special something. ♥ Sending good vibes your way. ~C ♥

Thank you so much Cat! This is such a sweet comment 🥺 Ugh that’s terrible to hear about the timing of the pauses to buy your new home, but I’m glad you have your main job back! Aren’t fences just so expensive?! But I think your privacy trees are just a brilliant idea, if you need to fill more space, trellis’s with climbing plants like clematis, ivy or climbing roses could help too. Congratulations and good luck with your new home, I hope you and your grandchildren enjoy it 💚

Thanks so much! I’m so relieved it looks okay, since I haven’t seen much about it besides in ads. It wasn’t too bad to put up though, and I really do love how it turned out! Yay! Thanks, Glad to have you. A bamboo patio cover would be so cool! Although, it would be a pain to work with, it’s pretty heavy (at least the fencing is) so assembling it could be tricky. It is a really great option for renters since it’s easy to remove when you leave, but depending on the amount it could get pricey! I find the more natural colored (like a light tan)bamboo is cheaper or a fencing called “Reed Garden Fencing” can save some money too. Websites like wayfair will be cheaper than big box stores. Wood lattice and trellises with climbing plants are always an option too! Good luck :)

I'm considering installing this on a 4' chain link fence, and then planting ivy along it so it eventually looks like a hedge. Because it will be covered with ivy, I can probably get away with buying the cheaper version of this product (home depot sells a 6'x16' roll for about $50).
@Everythingsjustpeachy4 жыл бұрын
I love this idea! My fences actually ended up with some ivy and morning glory on them, and it really made for a more private space. I would just maybe add some cheep lattice here and there to help with the weight of the plants should you opt for a softer fence!

Hooray! I have the same problem in my rental home with the fence- we have no private backyard just a high front wall with chain fence around our whole front yard- so everyone on the block watches us play outside - we are like an open book to the neighborhood- we get a lot of compliments about how we spend time with our kids but I’m just so ready for more privacy!! Especially because my husband’s family live down the street and watch us- when the kids and I are outside they try and bring their son over to let him play and then leave - it’s really annoying because they don’t ask- they just assume since my kids are playing they can bring their son over and leave him for a few hours. Although he’s a cousin- it’s still not right.

To me there are little cracks in between and Ole girl next door is always outside looking down at her phone and chain smoking. I don't want to look at her if I accidentally look that way and she always looks at me right before she walks in her girlfriends apt. I don't want her to see me at all and I'm sure she hates me for reasons unknown. She's not even on the lease. The nerve of some people. Now, I'm not sure about a privacy fence where I live and I have a end balcony so one side just not even half way that's 6" tall would be awesome 😎 😀 just enough so I can sit where her prying eye's can't see me. It is already a very sad time in this world and I want a little peace of mind in my life. I hope the manager doesn't say anything if I finally do this. I had a chic and her neighbor who gocked at me from below and I took large black garbage bags and tacks to take care of that. But the bottom keeps flipping up do to the wind and I'd like something prettier to look at. Do you have any recommendations? I know the manager doesn't want nobody blocking any of the balcony because of a fire but I'm not going to jump off onto the central air units right below where I need a fence or something to put there if I'm standing in which I don't want her to be able to look over at me. Some people 🙄 😒 just don't like you no matter how nice you are. This is getting old with her. She's always outside on the balcony from 6 to 6:30 am till about 12 midnight in and out constantly. She was in the hallway smoking when it was cold yet were not allowed to because of yet fire hazard. She left ashes and cigarette smoke luming in the air. Then she also smokes in the bathroom her gf told me that part. I smoke too and I don't want to smoke in my apartment especially because of my cat. Sorry so long just had to vent

@@purplebutterflies69 It looks like wayfair is out of stock but you can keep an eye on it here: www.wayfair.com/outdoor/pdp/backyard-x-scapes-6-ft-h-x-8-ft-w-rolled-bamboo-fence-panel-xbx1091.html Amazon does have the same fence but in the natural bamboo color: www.amazon.com/Backyard-X-Scapes-Natural-Rolled-Bamboo/dp/B01MPYA2BY/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=bamboo+fence&qid=1618495624&sr=8-6 I found to get the best deal on this you kinda have to keep a watchful eye, and if you can, buy it out of season.

It's too bad you chopped down the bushes but the fence looks good. I can't help but stare at that huge mole between your eyes. Just too distracting😆

The exact kind I was using is no longer on their website, but this is pmretty similar www.wayfair.com/outdoor/pdp/mgp-pole-bamboo-fencing-mgin1241.html I’d wait for sales, although in the summer it’s tougher to find them! Hardware stores can often have them it’s just more $$$

You put 1 of them upside-down at beginning.. the knots of fence should be on top to protect the fence from rain..maybe you should of done your researching before making your YT video so you orient your spectator correctly...😅

Love the project, but if you're going to pitch it as a project, please keep your audience's attention on the project, not all of the color commentary about your plants, your garden, your space that have nothing to do with the fence. I look forward to seeing more from you!
