Wow, spectacular finds! The proofs look amazing 😯and it looks like you got some fantastic upgraders to your collection as well. In europe, sometimes collectors buy rolls or UNC coins and release them into circulation, hoping that other collectors find them. Perhaps that's what happened here! And in the end, it's good that the coins went to a collector who will cherish them 😁 Congratulations on the hunt!
@CADRollHunter Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for watching. It's possible that's what happened. It was curious that they were just spread amongst several rolls with newer coins, rather than all in a roll together.

Excellent box! I just wanted to let you know that I found a full roll of 1970s a few weeks ago! It was the older paper wrapper with holes inside, so I imagine first it was a bunch of 1970s (the decade) quarters to look through, but my intimate hope was rewarded when I discovered these actually were 40 quarters of the year 1970! It was amazing. Only 1 had a bad scratch, but all others are from decent to AU or even a few BU shape. I'm keeping everything, including the wrapper where is is written in pen "1970". I just can't imagine how many (rolls of) quarters this person needed to go through before gathering 40 of them... But no silver lately, though. 2023 has been rough on silver so far for me, too.

Wow! A full roll of 1970s! That's a great score!

I’ve never hunted quarters for silver before, but I’ve done a fair bit of dimes. From your experience, would silver coins be more common in quarters or in dimes?
@CADRollHunter Жыл бұрын
I've definitely found more silver dimes than quarters, but you need to find 2.5 dimes to equal a quarter in silver content (roughly speaking)

What denomination do you find the most silver?
@CADRollHunter Жыл бұрын
Dimes have been the best for me, in terms of the number of silver finds. It's terribly inconsistent, of course!
@CJAKS1 Жыл бұрын
@@CADRollHunter thanks for the reply! I have just started searching and have looked through $100 of each and have come up empty. I like that you explain what you do with regards to what to look for in a coin, but do you have a video where you explain why you keep the Coloured coins? My understanding is they aren’t worth more then face if they are circulated in any way. Also where did you get the coin mat, I love it!
@CADRollHunter Жыл бұрын
@@CJAKS1 I highlight the colour coins because they're interesting to most viewers who don't see them often. I only keep the best of the best of them, but I do tally how many I find in each hunt.
