The All blacks didn’t beat first tiers nations for quite a while now, and their real strength is uncertain. To the contrary, Ireland is a well oiled unbeaten ranked#1 machine and this is a certainty. Gods could play a part in one game, but teams performance in rugby have a lot of momentum. I dont believe England suddenly became a good team, and clearly Ireland will still perform. No need to be nervous ! I am nervous for France though, cause with a good kicker SA would have beaten Ireland the other week 😮

NZ tight five isnt superior but I do think their backrow with Ardie and Frizzell healthy are very powerful carriers. More powerful than OMahony and Flier. Frizzell rampaged vs SA in the rugby championship. If he shows up it could be meaningful.

Watch the abs are just gonna use ball carriers from Frizzell, Ardie, Scooter, Brodie. From set piece Jordie and Leicester. To create front foot ball, phase 1,2,3,4 and be pretty much gonna attack thru the middle with variations to slow down the Irish line speed on D. allow their playmakers to play heads up rugby and attack the space. if the opportunities present itself. with the work rates of the props and cane just to clean rugs. They have to attack to win this game. Trust me Ireland have never face an attack like they ABs this year.

AB supporter here. What the top 3 teams have that we do not: You KNOW the Bokke, France and Ireland will be stuck in from the start, their forwards will be firing and there will be venom in the tackles, the first high balls are going to hurt when you catch them. We will have the prettiest offload.

Great show and loving the banter! Smart money on Ireland, they're just such a balanced a team.. but you don't know if this Jekyll and Hyde AB will turn up (which makes it so good). I think Fiji isn't tired, it's more the weight of being favourites (which they won't have against England) but still think England will win. SA vs France is a toss of the coin, France with the home crowd but SA know how to win knock out games.. Gonna be awesome! (just hoping the TMO doesn't decide any of them) and go Wales! (Tony NZ)

Mack Hanson is fit to play, as is James Lowe. Keith Earls and Robbie Henshaw were both going to be second picks and would probably have had only a second half appearance, if they played at all. The only starter who is definitely out is Jame Ryan - So the injury list is not as bad as some might think. It will be a tough game and the first 20 minutes will be crucial to both camps as this it will dictate the course of the game. My heart says Ireland but my head says it'll be a 50/50 battle.

Although the timing of the draw has , quite rightly , been perceived as unfair , the positive aspect is that it has thrown up 4 mouth watering quarter finals - all of which could easily go either way . The down side is that barring a major upset , the semi`s will be fairly predictable and one sided . As an England fan its actually quite liberating to just be able to enjoy the rugby without the added stress that comes with being among the favourites . (This must be how it feels to be Scottish )

The English rugby system needs an overhaul from the Championship to the National side, including coaching and RFU management. I'm worried if we beat Fiji and get to a semi (which we won't win), that everything will just stay the same. If we lose to Fiji and it's the catalyst for long term change I can accept that. England should be winning the WC every 8-12 years and Grand slamming every 3-5

I wouldn`t call it a disaster , if England lose to Fiji . England have by far the best record of the northern teams in World Cups , but we all know , they`re just not at the races , right now .Even if they beat Fiji , it would take a massive upset to get to the final .(Although we are due some luck with red cards , so you never know) . Sometimes you just have to accept that there are better teams around , take it on the chin , and look forward to better times ahead . (Also , my great great grandfather was possibly Irish ! )

Really good preview of the QFs chaps. You all made some great points. Here's how I see it: WAL v ARG: Argentina seems to be coming right, but it was very tit for tat against Japan. Wales works hard and has superior fitness. Wales by 5 IRE v NZ: For all their attacking flair the NZ forwards don't work hard enough and aren't abrasive enough to deal with the Irish pack. The Irish make the rucks very messy and NZ will struggle to deal with that. Then there's the discipline. NZ has a lot of discipline issues. Ireland works hard until the end and that's why they're the favourites. Ireland by 8. FIJ v ENG: I don't know what to make of the English. They looked very lackluster against Samoa and their attack is just blunt. Sure, there's the kicking game, but do you really want to kick it to the hard-running Fijians? Fiji's discipline improved a lot, but their lineouts are a shambles. Fiji by 3. SA v FRA: This is very close to call. Both teams are great and both teams are confident. The South African linespeed and abrasiveness is quite a big factor, but France is great against broken play. If South Africa approach this game with the same ruthlessness as against the All Blacks in Twickenham it will be a tough night. Springboks by 6. Let the games begin!

Jims right. England need to win and win well or it it curtains for England Rugby. There wont be a carpet low enough for them to crawl under. All the points that NZ were great against Namibia and Uruguay are the same arguments for Scotland being great against Tonga and Romania. Both teams are brilliant when they are able to dictate play - New Zealand a bit better - but what Ireland are great at is shutting down the opponent's plans, and preventing them from dictating play. We saw what happened to Scotland, and it won't be quite as extreme this time, but as a neutral, and with the caveat that of course either team could win by some margin, an Irish win is I think much more likely.

Agree with all these calls. I do however think NZ can with their game by scoring early and keeping Ireland scoreless for the first quarter. After watching French play ABs I can tell you Springboks are going to put a hurting on France big time. France has a better kicking game though. That might be the winning factor for them.

@CC-om8ze. France / New Zealand, was the first match of this cup, they were in replay for this match, so no real automation yet, we are in the quarters, and everything has changed they are hot, the first match was a mouthful, now it's a feast, don't compare what is not comparable.

Just Remember in 2019 Boks lost to NZ were written off got to the final and England were favourites cause they beat the AB's and England got smashed by the boks in the final. Favourites tag only has 50/50 win rate in WC at knockout stages not high at all. So i reckon the Boks and NZ could upset the apple cart. Both Ireland and France have alot more pressure. Ireland No 1 in the world, Won 17 in a row and have the QF hoodoo never got to a semi. The underestimating of France is quite hilarious tbf. That's the strongest French team of all time playing in a home RWC they've prepared for 4 years with the world best player, the possible world best winger and number 8 in their ranks, a team which just totally dominated their pool beating by 14 pts a NZ team which had never lost a RWC pool game before......and yet all the pundits in this video are predicting a SA win despite the fact they finished behind Ireland in their pool and who more importantly will be missing Marx who is for me their most important player along with Etzebeth and Kolisi
