It is good to see that most of your books were at the upper tiers. Hyperion for me was very interesting, but as I recall there is a {the first} sequel that is quite entwined. The fifth season choice of perspective threw me off a bit. Going back to reread old favorites, can sometimes feel strange and even disappointing either due to building up the hype over time or simply from having my reading taste evolve / change. Hello, thanks so much for watching and commenting 💕 Hyperion is one of those books I'll think about for a long time, some of the scenes were truly shocking! Yes, the second person in Fifth Season did put me off a little at first but I got used to it and quite enjoyed how the perspectives came together at the end. I agree, my tastes have changed a lot over the years and I did find myself cringing a little while re-reading ACOTAR haha 🙈

I have been too intimidated to read Hyperion but now you have made me think that I should give it a go! Your reading year may be less than normal but you have read some great books which is way more important.

I was intimidated by Hyperion as well, but ended up really enjoying it (even if some things went over my head a little). It reads like a series of short stories, which is less scary than a whole chunky novel in my opinion. I hope you like it if you do pick it up! Do check out content warnings though, because my goodness there are some disturbing scenes 😅

Hi Ellie, currently I've read 2 merrily Watkins - Phil Rickman books,looking glass sound,bookshops and bonedust, the gathering and just starting the crimson moth and the 3rd phil rickman. I want to start reading the Lady Hardcastle books. I bought the Ghost Bride because of your recommendation so must read that too. I've just bought murder road by simone St James so more for my tbr. Some great books mentioned. All is well my end, been very busy lately. Hope all is well with you and your husband? Take care😊
