Question Quaz, once the console commands are entered, does it automatically stay like that everytime you log in? Also, what if you want the commands turned off?

excellent job walking through each one while showing examples! i tested several of these out and some like the console commands were so easy to see the difference visually. my game is running pretty smooth through about everything at a solid 100fps currently, up to 130 in less dense areas and its perfect for me. and at 7680x2160 it looks amazing. truly an experience on this bigass monitor. only took like $6k to achieve.... which is very stupid, but man does it look good!

This video is absolutely amazing. I have been playing wow for a long time, and now I am just playing on a mid tier gaming laptop with HDMI into a curved gaming monitor and it is the best I have even seen. I had some issues with items on the ground flashing black and then back to original colors, I fixed it with graphics option directX to 11 instead of 12.

This is an amazing video. I feel like Spell Density needs an even lower setting than Essential. IMO I still see too many spell affects from other players - most notably in open world content (and I only use Base settings).

Really nice video. I personally dont like to disable almost everything since low shadows/ water/ ground clutter & environmental detail gives ambience.

Another thing to note is: The liquid Detail settings should be on "fair". Why? Because you can detect ground effects, which are under water more clearly (like volcanic or other boss mechanics). Was super useful in dungeons like tazavesh in the murloc area with dodging volcanics ;)

That’s correct, imo just the ultra setting is killing performance. The rest have similar performance but you gain a decent awareness boost.

Ok at first i didn't really notice much in DF area, but man i was headed to dmfaire and the details in goldshire/elwynn forest as i stopped to buy profession stuff was incredible. like a different game all together. buildings crisp w/ detail, plus saw it coming way sooner which is nicer when dragonflying so fast, i mean through the tree foliage which is my usual headache. well done well done.

Very useful guide, man! 2 things about my experience: 1. Changing rendering scale lower or higher than 100% - dropped my fps by 20% 2. I can't see any visual difference between 16x or 4x anisotropic filtering. So there is no change in FPS as well. Sharpness trick is awesome.

wow that sharpening tip really helped. the amount of detail and the improved fps i got from this video is crazy. I was normally around 137 fps in the wild and around 35-40 in Valdrakken. With your settings it looks better and I'm around 65 fps in Val and 155-165 in the wild now. That's crazy dude, thank you! I am using a RTX 4070 gpu, Ryzen 7 5600x cpu, 32 GB ram, B550 Mobo for those that are curious.

Great job on the guide! I followed your tips and saw a noticeable FPS boost on my already decent PC. Though I opted for slightly higher settings for better visuals - I'm all about that immersive experience over min-maxing! As for the NVidia Control Panel, I've seen mixed reviews too. The sharpen command is wonderful, I was trying this out in the emerald dream and the only setting I disagreed with about making things look very different was shadow quality, going below "Good" had a drastic impact on how things looked.

Quazii seriously you're such a gem in the WoW/MMO-community to have. Thank you for all the work you're constantly putting into these videos. Wishing you the best to reach 100k soon! :) Even after buying a Ryzen 7 5800x3d, I still had incredibly bad fps issues in WoW a couple of weeks ago when coming back for Season 3. I had to do most of the research you did here on my own. So I know how nuanced some of these things can be and how hard it is to find reliable information. So let me emphazise: This is by far the best source to actually get all the information you might need to get the fps you want. Especially if you use it together with some tips from the comments. I followed along and changed some of my settings again and also gained new insights. Amazing guide!

5800x3d and 7800x3d are stupidly fast for WoW. Even with stock bios and Windows settings. Strange how you have fps issues. Maybe check your addons, I found out that the weakaura that change the Dragonriding UI is so ressource hungry that even with my 7800x3d I loose like 20-40 fps in Valdrakken with it.

@@_nilson My main issue was having ray tracing shadows on tbh. Don't know why it was turned on, when coming back. It's such an obvious answer, that I was kind of embarassed. But I'm gpu bottlenecked right now with a 2070 super on 1440p anyways. So changing graphic settings actually made a huge difference for me. I mean I can still get 60-90+fps on everything maxxed out, but ocassional stutters to 30-50 fps are kind of annoying - especially in raids and Valdrakken. With my new settings - that basically look the same for the important parts - I'm comfortably sitting at 200+ fps. Thanks for the tip! :) I'll try to deactivate the weakaura. I originally thought elvui and old weakauras were the culprit, too.
