Great guide (as always). One suggestion, given the number of fights that require healers to target and heal NPCs (Fyrakk, Larodar, Chromie, M+ afflicted) it would be awesome to have a bit more guidance on friendly NPC setup for healers. Maybe a short video to the side? ;-)

whoa whoa stop! At @1:02:00 is a GAME CHANGER!! When changing NPC colors, I always struggle to write the name down and then remind myself later to go into Plater, find the mob, and change the color. I +NEVER KNEW+ you could just open Plater, and now a drop-down menu appears for the mobs?!! That's HUGE!!! I can't wait to try this, as some of the mobs in S3 M+ are not in Plater. My Plater is current, but there are still 2-4 mobs that are important, but their names aren't in Plater, I can't change the color-- but I bet this will work!!! HUGE tip!!! Thank you!!!!

Thanks so much, this helped a ton. The only question I have is, is there a way to "force" certain debuffs to be displayed first in order from left to right regardless of time remaining? For instance, with assassination rogue, is there a way to always show garrote and rupture first, instead of having all the icons jump around when kingsbane or deathmark or shiv or other important debuffs reach a lower timer than them? Considering you refresh garrote and rupture between 4-6 seconds, any debuffs that you let fall off or get lower than 4 seconds just bump them around.

love your videos! not sure if you'll see this or maybe someone else can explain. is there a way to have all the custom colors mobs (casters/frontals) be the default red or the "not engaged" color when not engaged and then turn to their custom colors when engaged? now all casters are always fuchsia if engaged or not. I changed transparency for out of range targets which helps but a uniform color setting for all not engaged targets would be great. I know this is a very niche request but it would help my dps ranged (hunter!) friends with avoiding ninja pulls.

I have a question about when you're in tight areas or you have your camera facing towards the ground from above. i find the nameplates start overlapping more and it can become hard to see the mobs sometimes. I have tried spacing them out more and adjusting some stuff in advancedinterfaceoption but nothing really changes. i might of missed it in this video but is there any plater settings to help with that?

Great Great video man , i have a question hope you can help me , i have no idea what setting i might have change to make nameplate not showing when i target . please help ! nameplate showing distance is 60 which is fine , but when i target far more than 60, nameplate not show for some reason . it use to be showing no matter how far it is if click and target it . 15.25 on your video, the nameplate show when you click and target the very far mop on the back , its no longer working for me , please help me ! thanks

yes plater update recently caused that - theres a simple fix, just reimport the profile again. all set.

Awesome video as always! I would just like to know can we change a color of a nameplate of the mob that has certain dot on it? For example as a warlock i need to apply doom brand on different targets... when there are many mobs it's hard to see which mob has it and which doesn't... it would be helpful to change the color of a plate that is affected by a spell and to return to its base color when doom brand expires... is it possible?

i watched entire video, tuned up a lot of things, but i have problem with buffs tab. no mater where i put it, top or bottom. for some reason, on enemies, the buff sits exactly on top of health bar (set for top) but on friendly, it sits like an inch above. same preset/offset. i need it to be static for both, not change off set based on friendly/enemy target. how the hell do i do that?

im trying to show resource on nameplates [using plater] and i turns resources on. but the combo point indicator is not showing up above my nameplate. I dont see a button to simulate it. Im using a dummy just like you. I want it for bosses that have full energy mechanics. i dont want to do a mythic and then have the resources overlapping the hp. i also am trying to figure out how to space the stacking nameplates so they don't cover the mob. I dunno how you figure all this stuff out. been working on this for hours

The problem is friendly players health bar is turning black when they are in combat. When I target them the health bar is green. Everything else I have set in plater is working fine. How can I keep their health bar green when they are in combat but not targeted?

Hi, thanks for all your hard work. I'm trying to change the view distance of the name plates for mobs, but it won't let me go beyond 20. I type in 40 but it reverts back to 20. This was the only thing I wanted to change from your import string from your site (Classic, SoD). I've checked the section in the video, and it seems like 20 is the max distance. Really? that seems too close for a caster.

I havent finished this video, Im watching in incriments as its a beefy one, is there a way to see the target of an enemies cast? I used threatplates before and it very clearly shows the name on the cast bar of the target, would help a lot with spell reflect. Thanks guys.
