At the young age of 77, I developed asthma and within the first two months I went to emergency care at the hospital as my breathing rhythm was like a rollercoaster. Since that time, I had found a method to free myself of medication for the past 5 years. Through meditation I breathe deeply and slowly. But also have two specific breathing exercises I try to do daily as well. One exercise is to enhance nitric oxide, a 30 minute routine, where I breathe 10-12 times a minute. It has cured me of nasel blockage, among other issues, as well in winter I have not had a cold since doing this. A second exercise which takes about 10 minutes, I practice holding my breath for 3 minutes after my last exhale. The first time I did this, I had an overly strong connection with my being, and teared for several minutes. An unbelievable feeling as a result of this connection. I can also easily breathe 3x per minute. Breathing properly, etc., is very beneficial for everyone. ❤❤❤

I appreciate to read that your practices have purpose and you have tried them and you can provide testimonies. Many speak of benefit of practices they never tried. Sometimes they repeat the words from an idn book and never reached the part of the book that explain the why. Please create your course and in doing so try reaching the very person suffering for the illment you can provide the solution to before reaching all out there for general knowledge. Emphasize the why. You will be serving humanity better than most so-called "guru" out there. Thank you for your sensible comment! ❤❤❤ love and light be with you.

@@allpointstoone4346my wife had asthma over 20 yrs ago. Daily on waking (once in afternoon) and late evening, she just breathed deep into lungs, held it couple seconds, gently let it go. Didn’t do any special technique, just took in more oxygen in deep breathing and drank more water (water is oxygen). Without knowing her condition improved tremendously. Reduce situations that cause anxiety/stress, eg strenuous exercise; avoid dairy foods, excess cheese, cream, alcohol, spicy foods, lamb, increase gentle exercise, green leafy vegetables, white cabbage. In summer months, reduce pollen (wear mask in garden if possible); apply petroleum jelly in nostrils to trap pollen. Good luck

The nostrils never take in air evenly. It is biological and the way our bodies work naturally. Our nostrils switch sides throughout the day and night and one is always taking in more air than the other. Please research this for more information.

Thank you for the information as always. What I can confirm from experience: Breathing slowly does wonders in and of itself. I'd advice anyone to learn how to mind their breathing all the time: Unless you're doing a physically intensive task, breathe as slowly as you can without feeling like you're suffocating, it's okay to breathe more deeply but less often. Even sitting on my chair doing computer stuff, I can usually do an inhale and exhale 10 seconds each, which I guess counts as 3 breaths per minute: That can instantly go from stressful to surprisingly relaxing.

@@Vince-l4k a year ago today I wanted 2024 to go slower than 2023 cuz 23 FLEW BY! I walked slower, moved slower and intentionally focusing on balance. I drove about the same speed but with less urgency. I allowed things I wanted to happen to take the time they take to “bake.” It works. 2024 was much slower and longer and more fulfilling. I heard one thing to try was breathing “as slow as possible” which led me to 60-second inhales. Idk if it has any benefit but it feels nice. 60-second inhales, 30-second exhales. Try it!

I understand and fully support ads in the middle of a video. You should absolutely be paid for your time, effort, and knowledge. However, I hope you’ll consider taking the time to make sure that mid-roll ads don’t show up in the MIDDLE of KEY moments in your video. In case you’re not aware, you can indeed do this. I just stumbled upon your channel and decided to try your 5 minute meditation with you and while there were other ads throughout (totally fine!) an ad popped up right in the middle of the meditation. While it might not happen to everyone, it could be off putting to those who it does. Especially new viewers. Sorry, not trying to be a Karen!

Making it the 6 b point breathing technique. This advanced breathing will bring us in connection with the inner christos.( also know as other names depending on one's philosophical embrace). All sentinel beings with the Christos Avator 12 stand DNA activation potentiality must at least practice the 6 point breathing technique. There is also a 12 point breathing technique. I could barely breath through my left nostril and I think I found this at just the right time, at night I’ve been sleeping poorly due to… well… moments where I just stop breathing. I did a sleep apnea test and whatever’s going on it ain’t sleep apnea. It seems connected to stress, and I tend to actually feel my throat close, hence why I can’t breath. I started drinking more to try and calm down, but as the fears of sleeping come back, I stay up later and later. Recently it nearly happened during the day. I’ve been “focusing on my breath” lately, nothing more than trying to breathe rhythmically, and it’s been helpful to give me something else to think about, but not much more. After doing this breathing exercise/yoga I definitely feel calmer. Doubt the left side of my brain got off air, but something’s definitely changed!

Very informative video, thank you very much. One comment, though. The Sanskrit phrase for the alternate nostril breathing method that you presented is Naaḍi Shodhana. Shuddha शुद्ध in Sanskrit means pure, purified. (the ḍ with the dot underneath is used to pronounce the "d" the uniquely Indian way ड ḍa. But the British transliteration from the late 1800s does not provide a diacritic for the d द as in this, thus and such words). I have found that it works best for me when I have the tips of my index and middle fingers with very light pressure on the point of the forehead that is over the Sixth (Ajna) Chakra. It takes some doing to bring attention to, and keep the attention on, the gentle belly breathing while manipulating the fingers to perform the Naadi Shodhana. And to let go, let go, let go, relax, relax, relax, during the whole process. And one last comment, my personal but deep-down conviction: *it is the calm, composed state of mind that leads to both nostrils being equally open rather than the manipulation of the nostrils that makes the mind calm and composed.* These processes are governed by the autonomic nervous system, which our Indian ancients instinctively knew about and called the Naaḍis. It took a couple of thousand years for science to discover the autonomic nervous system! Being an MD in Internal Medicine (retired) I have always been fascinated with this subject.

James Nestor is the author. A land mark book I thought. Has done remarkable research into breath throughout various cultures. Cited an 18TH century attorney turned traveler and chronicler of plains indian culture. He observed their unusual physical vigour and large strong stature and questioned the cause of it seemingly common throughout the various tribes(plains Indians) and when he interrogated various tribespeople discovered to his amazement that they imposed a strict breathing discipline begun in infancy to deter mouth breathing. When I read that I surmise that that probably explains why they seem to be uninclined to much talking and universally keep their mouths closed; as I'm sure you remember from your own reading of his book. He discused also an eastern breathing practice he was introduced to ...kriya something? Slow deep breathing?

I heard you can achieve brain synchronization with sound too. You need headphones. One tone gets played in your right ear and a different one in your left ear. It happens instantly. It's referred to as Hemi sync.

Ancient Yogis related breathing with attention and awareness. That is why, they said, if we forget breathing(awareness), we will lose 'light'(good life)....

Open up the present moment and realise that certain things are hard to understand that they don't really exist anymore but are still trying to create the illusion control of their own position within the moment you see their characters is criminal and unjustified but never let know you know everything about themselves

Day 2 Qu🎉asi .Happy New Year 🎉 I couldn't do it for 5 minutes. But I gotvmy spiral flowing in a circle. I do meditation to drums normally I only breath in the beginning than watch the picture show of spirits flowing to me and seens also . I just don't know what they are saying to me yet .I also did this yesterday in the bath tub and than went live on my Facebook. I have 99 000 on my Facebook page and it went well yesterday. I haven't been doing many lives with this last batch of kidney stones I am passing.

The nostrils switch throughout the day and night. Studies show that at any given time, one nostril will always be more open and take in more air than the other. It switches back and forth. I thought that was so weird when I first read about it, but it is true. Quazi is likely noticing that change when he draws his attention to it randomly. I looked this up years ago because I noticed that one nostril always seemed to be more "open" than the other. It can become very apparent when you have a cold.

Marijuana does bond with those cannabinoid receptors quite well .. but it may interfere with your breath work. If it is being used medicinally, wait an hour after inhaling before engaging in breathing practice - I have no recommendation on edibles aside from encouraging moderation in all things - even holiness!
