The guitar player and upright bass player really makes this band have JUST the right Texas Swing Sound!! And the guitar player's "Bob Wills" words while they play really adds to the AUTHENTIC nostalgia of the Bob Wills Texas Swing Band Era, I believe, as close as one could ever bring it back to Modern Day!! GREAT JOB, GUYS!!!....THE GIRLS STAND OUT (AND THEY SHOULD).....BUT YOU TWO UNSUNG HEROES IN THIS BAND GLUE IT ALL TOGETHER "JUST RIGHT"!!! YEEHAAWWW!!!!........ FROM ONE TEXAN TO ALL OF Y'ALL!!!

They do not use any synthesizers like so many groups today. They are just pure talent. The air conditioning was not working so they wore almost no makeup and as you see they don't need it. After the concert they had a wonder time talking with everyone and posing for photos. All 3 girls and the rhythm guitarist are national champion fiddlers. The base player left the Dixie Chicks and now is here to stay with the Quebe Sisters Band (good choice).

I love this girls with THIS Band. I have seen more recent with 2 young guys. Eventhough they are pro....they don't have the original old-timer sound that THESE (as an old time group) have. My opinion. (I'm 68)

I know they played Ashland last summer, along with WSVS Radio and the Blue Ridge Music Center. I had reservations at the Beach on the date they played at BRMC, I would have loved to have been there.

YES - I know the feeling! I saw the Quebe Sister Band for the first time at the National Folk Festival in 2008 and what a lucky find it was. They will be coming back east. Keep up with their website for schedules. You will love talking with them after the concert.

Yes you missed out. I'm sure the Sisters will back next year. Get your tickets in advance. This concert was sold out. I believe Ashland Coffee and Tea's listening room only seats 125. It has a nice small town atmosphere setting about 20 miles north of Richmond.

That's Joey McKenzie -- one of the finest rhythm guitar players ever. Not only that, but he's a top-notch fiddle player in his own right, having won over 100 contests, and is a three-time world champion on the instrument. The Quebe Sisters were his students, and he created many of their arrangements. He also produced their studio albums.

I've seen other videos with a couple of guys that look like they are in College, or fresh out. They don't look ANYTHING "Texas"!! They still sounded great, but not the Texas sound they started with. I hope that's not a band change. I will be DISAPPOINTED!! In Texas, we say, "If it ain't broke...... DON'T FIX IT!!" There's ANOTHER phrase (more recent)...."Don't California My Texas!!" ❤
