Also note that in a fight between Gorfang and Queek in the lore. Queek could do nothing to him. His Armor was too thick even for dwarf gouger. Gorfang is probably gonna be a FLC if he comes and will be equivalent to Gor rok as just a tanky lord option. He has a rivalry with kazador but dunno if that will materialize.

@@sassysaddles9981 or just thick plating. Orc Armor is poor quality wise but orcs especially Gorfang rotgut who is the size of a troll can carry very thick plates. Also this misconception where people thing just because a thing is meant to be "anti-something" it should always defeat it like a rock paper scissors mechanic is not realistic at all. Like many total war players pretend that muskets should cleave through every Armor plate is unrealistic. Since clan rictus is the "lots of stormvermin clan" lorewise, I think Queek should get other bonuses, both personally and factionwise. Like more clanrat related buffs factionwide to make them really really cost effective. Maybe some stormvermin buffs for his own army rather than upkeep reduction, since afaik Mors is more known for quality and loyalty.

I'd like to see Clanrats get the same treatment as Goblins and Zombies, with a couple of Lord skills that buff them to the stratosphere. Someone will undoubtedly correct me if I'm wrong but I believe a side-effect of this would be making Menace Below a significant 'weapon' rather than the tactical annoyance it usually is. Imagine how differently Queek would play if he had roided-up Clanrats and a Menace Below that cost 0 Food with -50% cooldown (uses limited by time rather than food because there's so many loyal Clanrats of the highest quality always at the ready).
@ruukinen Жыл бұрын
@@Nianque2 You are basically talking about a bunch of RoR units. If you recruit a Stormvermin troop you get average Stormvermin, not the best of the best. I found Queek's campaign to be one of the hardest in IE. The beginning Greenskin faction is easy to deal with. So is Karak Azul. But after taking down the Greenskin faction you will come into contact with Wurrzag, who is always a powerhouse in every campaign and spams waaghs. If Wurrzag declares war while you are fighting the Dwarfs, it gets complicated very fast. You'll find yourself fighting multiple 40 unit armies and if you fail to ambush the, you'll have to fight all 40 units which will be near impossible at such an early stage. Soon after you'll come into contact with Thorgrim, and the Skarsnik AI cannot deal with him so you'll have to. Skarbrand will hold the south for a while, but eventually Khalida, Settra, and Thorek will come into contact with you and you can easily find yourself at war with one or all of them. Queek's campaign can be easy if you are able to take every enemy one at a time. Random war declarataions can quickly throw this campaign off track and make it extremely difficult as you find yourself fighting wars on 3 fronts with a skaven faction that has no bonus to wizards and built-in loyalty problems for new lords, making it difficult to raise snap armies to defend settlements without causing more problems for yourself through defections.

While I like these campaign reviews you've been putting out, I've noticed they come in two flavors: 1) Short, primer style that is not too in-depth and "looks forward" in time. Especially in your earliest reviews, the message is more 'this is what it is, this campaign gives you Y and is for these kinds of players'. 2) Longer, reviews that provide in-depth information and looks back in time (think: 'I played it and experienced this). Personally, I like the shorter primer-style. I don't need to know that moving in a certain direction on the map will be very difficult and that I ignore a more important threat. Experiencing that would be part of the 'story' of your campaign. What I would like to get from your videos is something that helps me decide what faction to pick the next time I click 'New Campaign'. What does each faction offer? What are their mechanics. Since I will likely encounter every faction type at some point in the campaign, I don't need to know that I need to recruit unit X, take city Y and optimal early economy performance requires me to choose province mandate Z. I'm not looking for a starter guide. I want to know what the campaign offers.

I don't like Queek's campaign because he is just so vanilla. Snikch has the clan contracts and eshin actions that make the game more interesting, and his units have no loyalty. Ikit has the upgrades, particularly for weapon's teams, making them waaay better and more interesting. Plus dropping nukes is super fun. Throt has his mutation stuff going on. I'm not a big fan, but at least its something. Then you got Queek and Tretch. They got nothing special at all. Just very vanilla, very boring. I really wish Mors had more buffs to Stormvermin to turn them into real melee power houses, maybe its own faction mechanic for training them up, similar to Ikit's lab or the monster lab. As far as the easiest skaven to play, i'd recommend Clan Eshin myself. No loyalty to fuck around with is great, and the doomstack units to spam you can get access to REALLY fast and pretty cheap. And then if you ever come up against an enemy faction you don't want to deal with, you can just delete them from the game. Another great thing about Clan Eshin is there are tons of +food places in his immediate area. Not just his starting settlement, but 2 more settlements in adjacent provinces have +food buildings too. AND, when you get Clan Pestilens reputation up, your armies no longer consume food which is just incredible. Clan Eshin -> Easiest, Clan Skryre -> Most Fun

Mors will always have the best Stormvermin, and Queek will always be much better than Tretch. I see no reason to play Rictus when both in lore and in game Mors is superior to Rictus and Mors Stormvermin are the greatest Stormvermin in all of Skavendom. Queek and Mors is always going to be the better lord and faction of the two. But they do need a mechanic to improve them, maybe a Stormvermin improvement buff or a special headtaking mechanic that's different from the normal mechanic. Mors is still better than Rictus at this point because deliberate retreats and treaty breakings are terrible mechanics and really make Tretch the worst Skaven LL of them all.
