Freddie had the best tuneful ear & irreproachable taste! He loved the unique and greatest musicians in the world! Mercury was a real perfectionist! And in my humble opinion Mercury would not to bat an eye! Proud of what he must? The fact that Bri is not slightly but terribly mad to dare speaking about Freddie in that terrible context??? What a shame! Facepalm! I do loved Bri! So he thinks he can spit in my eye & kick in the teeth! He can do it to me - not Mercury! Brian's former fans are disappointed! "Oh, baby, can't do this to me, baby!"

@@lucilleconsenza8239 you don’t have to like Adam but what does him not playing an instrument mean in the context of this? Not every singer has to play an instrument like piano or guitar. Some (like Adam) try to focus only on their voice. Also Adam might not have the rock singer voice in your opinion, but not all of Queen’s songs are rock songs so he has to do well with some of them clearly

I‘m too young to have seen Freddie Mercury live, but I was lucky enough to go to an Adam Lambert concert. My friends and I couldn’t believe what we were hearing live. It was unbelievable. And what I love about him is, he does not try to copy the original, but he makes it his own with his unbelievable voice and control over it. To me, he is the best vocalist we‘ve had in a really long time, but let’s not forget that Freddie created a lot of those iconic songs. Sooo, that’s just me and my piece of mind ✌️

I think you should fix your hearing. Adam is a great singer, but his voice doesn't even come slightly close to the power Freddie's had. And that's just the voice, if we compare both of them as artists... well, the gap widens even more.

The two people most entitled to compare the two seem to agree with you. Both Sir Brian and Roger have said that Lambert can sing parts every night that Mercury had to schedule very carefully. Lambert's voice seems to be higher-pitched, so it is easier for him to reach the stratosphere. However, no one will match Mercury's mastery of the audience for a very long time.
