Queen's medleys were a showplace for what they had developed into an art form: transitions. They always made sure that they maintained a perfect flow from one piece to the next. If you were watching the concert in one piece, you would see how well they managed this. It's really impressive. I'm glad you've warmed up to Roger. He really is the heartbeat of this band. Awesome reaction!

“People want to be entertained. How boring if we reproduce note-for-note what was on the album, people might as well just sit at home and listen to the album. It’s a show, it’s entertainment, and our songs take on a different meaning when we do a stage show.” - Freddie Mercury

The best so far. I like the way they manage the transitions and a little bit of feedback just tells you it's real. I wonder, with today's technology, if Freddie's melodic adjustments in Killer Queen would be "corrected" for an official release? I think that has been done with some Queen recordings.

Just crazy for this 💫✨😊 I’m with you on the melody changes in Killer Queen !! I love them live so much … they even make boring songs great 😂✌🏼 ( you know what ? They’re kinda good 😂😂 ) TY Justin 🌷

Isn't Freddie just the most wonderful musician/entertainer? Queen, nothing to match 'em! Work together magnificently. Oh yeah. . . .

The thing I have always loved about Queen Live is that it is rare to hear the songs performed the same way as the album. In an interview Freddie said how boring that would be. He said that if fans wanted to hear the songs performed the same way as the recording they should stay home and listen to the album. Queen intentionally liked to change it up and since all four are such outstanding musicians, you never know what to expect live. A great example of this is Somebody to Love original song vs. live in Montreal 1981 vs. live at the Bowl. Each one very different but all excellent! Thanks for doing some live performances. There is a reason Queen is one of the best live rock bands of all time.

Queen songs are definitely great live and they always add a different dimension to them so even something so-so on the album improves greatly when they perform it live--such as the Hot Space "club-dance" music performed at the Milton-Keynes concert.

I was at the Tiffany’s Purley concert a few days before this one. Was 16 at the time and other than a few punk bands had not really been to too many gigs. I was a Queen fan since Sheer Heart Attack so it was amazing being up close and seeing them play live. Don’t remember too much about the set list or anything but do remember it was incredibly loud. The venue was basically a night club and I think I was deaf for the next day or two. Went with some friends and my then 14 y/o sister - it was her first gig and she’s still a big Queen fan. Good times

Queen live, cannot be beat in my book. They are a whole other beast doing live! I am so glad you are giving Roger some props! He well deserves them. Yes, Brian does look very thin here, I agree. Thanks for doing this concert, you will not be disappointed.

I'm really impressed with Roger in Death on Two Legs because usually when drummers sing, they play kinda easy. He's all over the damn kit WHILE HE'S SINGING! Amazing! 😊

Queen was great at changing up the music for concerts, Queen didn't want to play the songs just like the albums, they felt the audience might as well stay home and listen to it, they wanted to provide a great time, and Freddie was such a great showman, very fun and hilarious on stage he connected with everyone, Freddie was very shy off stage, but on stage he became something totally different. Great reaction

Why don't bass players move when they play....so their pay doesn't jingle out of their pocket! A Dan original...All seriousness aside, great medley/ great commentary!

I wonder. Did May achieve the low notes in Death on 2 legs with the whammy bar, or did he actively tune the E snare. Just wondering.

You appreciate the change-ups! And Freddie does them all the time. Each concert video I've seen (even if the same tour), he will do different things on songs. That might be why a lot of fans have their favorite concerts.

A medley has gotta keep you on your toes when at some point you veer from the known often played full song to an abridged three-some. If it's like anything similar to an actor on stage with an edited script from prior performances - you have to steer yourself to keep on course with a new focus, new transitions. Intense and then gone in what seems like a flash!
