As someone who has seen these guys live, I can tell you there was nothing like them. If you haven't yet I recommend "Somebody to Love" and "Save Me" from there Live in Montreal 1981" DVD concert. This was one of the tours I saw them on for their "The Game" album back in 1980. Save Me was a new song off that album and the first time people got to hear it live. You'll thank me later. 😁

Nice reaction and your remarks are very appropriate. 👏👏👏 Scientists analyzed the music and the lyrics and declared it as the happiest song. No one can just sit and listen to it without a single smile, Freddie loved "having a good time". John Deacon was an excellent bass player and you noticed his playing technic. Brian May's guitar solos are always a kind of continuation of Freddie's verses, he was (and still is) playing with a sixpence coin on his home made guitar the Red Special. Pls, check out Freddie's beatuiful love song, called You Take My Breath Away at Hyde Park 76, just Freddie and his piano.

The yellow guitar is a bass, and John Deacon was an absolute technician at playing it. The guy on the red guitar is Dr. Brian May (astrophysics) and considered to be great to this day.. The drummer is still respected in drum circles, and plays double bass with one foot (most ppl require 2) An amazing group of people in their own right. As for suggestions, well, they never put out a bad album, and their emotions cover the range from "Don't Stop Me" to "The Show Must go On".

The fingers playing the strings she commented on is traditional, originates from the upright acoustic bass used in jazz. Some pop & rock players use a pick ( Chris Squire of Yes did ).

When you commented about Freddie's great voice - yes, one of the greatest voices this planet ever had - I remembered an interview with Floor Jansen being asked that if she could sing a duet with someone who already passed away, who would she pick, and she answered without hesitation - Freddie Mercury :-) Well, greatness is attracted by greatness ;-)

HEY Honey, I LOVE your reactions to Queen & to Freddie; you're very observant and point out a lot of details. (It was neat that you pointed out the same thing I always notice: how John Deacon is playing his bass with two fingers in that one scene; a lot of times in live shows, I've noticed that he also licks his fingertips when he's playing like that. ;D ) ...One of my favorite things about this particular MV, is that three of the band members are dressed like, well, like rock musicians... and THEN you have the bass player Deaky (that's his nickname)... dressed like he's going to prep school! ;D I really HOPE that you'll do more reactions to Queen & Freddie, Hon! (BTW... With Queen, LIVE performances - when they're available - are always the way to go! Did you know that Queen is actually the only band who are FAMOUS for their live shows being BETTER than their studio recordings?)

The bass player John Deacon was a secret weapon of the band and the style of playing his instrument was a trademark. Freddie was a genious, but Queen couldn't be that they was without the combined talent of Brian on guitars, Roger on drums, John on bass guitar and of course, Freddie on voice. There are songs where the lead vocal are Brian: Some Day One Day, '39 (studio version), Good Company, All Dead, Leaving Home Ain't Easy, Sail Away Sweet Sister. And there're some sung by Roger: I'm In Love With My Car, Tenement Funster, Drowse, Fun It, Rock It. 100% recommended.

All 4 members of Queen are multi-instrumentalists. The drummer, Roger Taylor, has an album called Fun in Space, where he plays all the instruments on most of the songs. BTW, the part that you replayed to show how he was playing the guitar, was the bass player. That's the traditional way of playing the bass, by thumping the strings with your fingers (usually the middle and index fingers).

Sorry I missed the 'Live' reaction but in response of your request for other Queen songs you could react to. As I said before I strongly suggest you react to the Live Aid '85 set, which features 6 of their top songs and is around 20 minutes long. Their is an extra song from the same set also if you also want to react to that as well. In a similar vein to this song also is I Want It All, which was wrote by Brian May, the lead guitarist who said he took it from something his wife always used to say. If you want a tearjerker because of the feeling in the song you could react to No-One But You (The Good Die Young). It was wrote after Freddie's passing and is sung by Brian and Roger, and you can feel they are saying goodbye to Freddie in the song. But I could name 50 songs you could react to but I think they will do for now. Links below: Live Aid Set: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5u7lqeNgJKIqJo The extra song in the Live Aid Set: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qJradaJtlKyroK8 I Want It All: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJaZqpKufdOiipY No-One But You: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pX2uqpSFgcdlfNU

Hello Bisscute . A Queen song that not a lot of people know is called It's Late . There is not really a video to the song but there is an official lyric video of the song and an alternative version . For a different Queen song, listen to Good Company. Brian May (the guitarist) wrote it and sings lead, and other than the bass, drums, and toy banjo (sounds like a ukelele), all the other instrumental sounds are made with his guitar. Up until the ‘80s Queen didn’t use any synthesizers, and the instrumental orchestrations were usually Brian’s guitar. Brian usually sang lead on at least one song each album, and they are usually among my favorites. Roger Taylor (the drummer) also usually sang lead on at least one song per album and he has a more raspy, rock voice (and can sing higher than Freddie), making his songs quite interesting too. The reality is, you really need to listen to everything because they cover so many styles.
