Once again - you get it! It does not matter what Freddie's sexual orientation was, the reasoning behind his outfits, or, his physical "mannerism". Simply, he was a fantastic showman with an amazing voice singing great songs. And, yes, you MUST have a serious talk with your mother about why she deprived you of Queen when you were growing up.

Love you dancing along to the song in your chair. I can't imagine being able to sit still while listening to this. And yes, the backup singer keeping the "chorus" going when Freddie wasn't singing was the drummer, Roger Taylor, who is quite an accomplished singer, musician, and songwriter in his own right.

Freddie was a complete one off but he admitted in interviews that his stage presence was just an act and he was an extremely shy person. His command of the audience and stage was unique and has never been replicated. Roger's backing vocals were the perfect foil for Freddie

I saw them on this tour on September of 1980. This was toward the end of the show seeing as Freddie is stripped to just his short shorts. Oh this is a John Deacon song by the way, a new song off the Game album. You want more live Queen? Please check out "Save Me" from this same concert, it also was a new song off that album. You won't regret it. Like I said I saw them during this tour.

Only Freddie was brave enough to sing in front of thousands in those short shorts. 😆 Roger Taylor is one of the best singing drummers whose voice complemented Freddie's voice perfectly. The Montreal concert is a great dose of joy, but please check out one performance from the Wembley 86 next, the song called Love Of My Life. Great reaction dear Bisscute.

All the members of Queens are/were talented musicians, but I have to give props to John Deacon for coming up with some of the most recognizable basslines in history. This one for example, among others, but also the one for "Under Pressure" that would go on to continued success when sampled by Vanilla Ice for "Ice Ice Baby".

I was 13 when this song was released. Back then I was mainly into pop music or what we called Top 40. I remember a DJ on our local radio station said for us to not keep calling him to request Another One Bites The Dust or Another Brick in the Wall because he was going to play them at least every 90 minutes anyway. Those two songs it seemed dominated the airwaves for quite a while in 1980.

AOBTD written by Queen bassist John Deacon!! He used to hang around the studio where the group Chic were recording! Michael Jackson was a fan of Queen so when MJ heard this song he immediately encouraged Queen to release it as a single!! Freddie in short shorties is predictable .. but in this case he was trying to ‘F’ with film continuity after being annoyed with the director & security. Gotta love Freddie!! 💝💖💛

The song was everywhere you went, in clubs or bars, back in the day. We had a local band play it in our gym at our local high-school. Thanks for the little reminder of my younger days. Freddie wore the shorts that night to piss off the director who was making the band's life miserable and not allowing the crowd to participate as much as they normally would. You can see Freddie trying to get them involved. The shorts ruined the continuity to mess with the final edit. The director wanted him dressed exactly the same, both nights. Queen bought the rights to this concert video back several years ago and had the audio and video remastered which is why the quality is so amazing.

You were right, it was drummer Roger Taylor singing as well as Freddie. It is amazing to see him and to sing whilst doing such amazing drumming. You really need to react to Innuendo. I don't want to say too much, but it's another unique song. Oh, and if you don't know how duet with opera legend Montserrat Caballe, Barcelona, then you have to see that too. Freddie loved opera and he was amazed I think that she agreed to do a whole album with him, but it is amazing, they complement each other so well. One last thing I'd like to say is that I'm not sure many could pull off wearing little white shorts, a baseball cap, and a neckerchief and it not seen absolutely normal (at that time anyway, and even today I think)!!! True legend!!! He commanded the stage. He is greatly missed. RIP Freddie!!!

Short shorts (hot pants) were big back then - for both sexes. Men even played basketball in them. Freddie's persona on stage and in real life were polar opposites...but very easy to be fascinated by both. Queen never met a style or genre without leaving its mark upon.
