You just have to look at the photograph of the official engagement that Markle accompanied the Queen right at the very beginning of her very short tenure as a member of the RF. Meghan's father never even received an invitation as Meghan never wanted him at her wedding. She is not sentimental and every decision is strategic and calculating. She made her wedding her rebranding as the Duchess and as a black woman and she wanted a grand wedding for the world to watch her in. Being walked down the king walked by the next king of England as though she was a daughter of a future king was far more grand and ompressive than being walked down the aisle by an overweight, poor white father.
