This studio version does not do justice, They way they performed it in Live Aid is pure LIFE.

They played it at the Live Aid concert. That's where you've heard it.

It’s always reminds me of the Heath Ledgers movie “A Knight’s Tale” that uses We will Rock You at Jousting event. So funny, but nowadays Queen would benefit if they did get owed royalties as they sold the entire catalog to Sony for $1.2 billion June this Year. I was lucky enough to have seen Queen Live at “Live Aid” and a year later at Wembley 1986, but didn’t know it would be the last Concert at the time.

I have to confess to not being a Queen fan, apart from a couple of their songs, but I love watching their live performances. Off the top of my head, I can't think of anyone that did it better before or since. Good reaction guys.

Great reaction! Hammer To Fall is a great hard rock song from Queen, the lyrics of the song is also very good, the song was used in Stranger Things. You guys need to check out an early hard rock song from Queen, like the song "Liar". Or if you want to stick to the 80's "Princes Of the Universe" has a great video, and it is a great hard rocking number from Queen.

gabe what you talking about back to the future your way off think Highlander films "Hammer to Fall" was written by Brian May and released in 1984. The song's lyrics explore Cold War themes, such as geopolitical tensions and the threat of nuclear conflict. The song is considered to be a significant representation of the fears of that era.

God, 80's kid flashback😄....it was played at Live Aid and also at the famous '86 concert at the old Wembley football stadium. Queen were the first band I was into...loving the music posts, you make me a nostalgic old git. (BTW Nick, do something about those t-shirts....they have gone from troublesome to worrying.....just saying Macho Man)😉

If you want to hear wild Queen, watch their 1970s concerts. They were ahead of the time. Especially, Liar.

Queen are one of a few bands where their live versions of their songs are better than on record and the records are damned good.

Don’t know if you guys know this but Queen sold their catalog to Sony this past June for 1.2 Billion dollars. The largest amount for any band ever. Who knows how this will change things.

Watch the Live Aid performance of this song. It is much more up tempo to fit the song in and I like it more. Brian’s solos are much more in your face.

What is College football when it's at home? Oxford and Cambridge Universities have varsity games between themselves. Wikipedia: A varsity match is a fixture (especially of a sporting event or team) between two university teams.[1] The Scottish Varsity rugby match between the University of St Andrews and the University of Edinburgh at Murrayfield stadium is claimed to be the oldest recurring varsity match in the world, having been played since the 1860s.[2] It is predated by the University Match in Cricket between Oxford and Cambridge, which was first played in 1827.[3] University of Cambridge vs University of Oxford - every fixture between these two universities can be referred to as a varsity match; the most notable are: The Varsity Game - Basketball The University Match - Cricket University Golf Match University Hockey Match Ice Hockey Varsity Match The Varsity Polo Match The Boat Race, the Women's Boat Race and the Lightweight Boat Races - Rowing The Varsity Match - Rugby Union Rugby League Varsity Match Varsity Trip - Skiing The Varsity Yacht Race

I remember it being sung faster. Maybe that was at Live Aid.

Actually, this was the single version. You would much prefer the album version guitar solo which is heavier and longer LOL

I would react to their live performances. 99% of the time they are better. React to White Queen live at Hammersmith Odeon 1975. Tie Your Mother Down live at Wembley the July 12th performance and watch the audience. Now I’m Here and Another One Bites the Dust live at Wembley. Dragon Attack, Keep Yourself Alive and Save Me live at Montreal 1981. Who Wants to Live Forever live at Budapest. Love of my Lie live at Wembley.

Brian wrote this song and he liked the heavier rock sound. This is not the best live version of this song, the Wembley 86 or Live Aid versions have much better sound.
