What a delightful musical presentation from SEVEN of the ten De la Motte children, as we can well imagine Handel meditating on the joyful surprise of the Queen of Sheba who heard the wisdom of God's Word from Solomon. "And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to prove him with hard questions...And she said to the king... behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard" (1Kings 10:1,6,7). What a reminder it is to us that "she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here" (Luke 11:31). Thank you for the excellence of your performance that captures the beauty of Handel's masterpiece, that honors the noble heart of the Queen of Sheba, and (greater still) that glorifies our Savior. Soli Deo Gloria!

I wanted the kids to be able to have something they could really put their whole hearts into that was valuable. As a kid I was pretty bored and I lacked direction. I also wasted a lot of time. I wanted the kids to have a chance to excel in something so beautiful.

No, they all really wanted to play. I actually was the first one to learn back when Josiah was a baby. He saw playing and really wanted to play himself! That’s how everyone else came to learn as well. They saw the older kid playing ❤️

I keep hearing how these kids are “classically trained” and “absolutely incredible.” I had to check it out myself. Needles to say I am extremely disappointed. They’re good lmao but incredible is by far the last compliment I’d give. Keep practicing guys!
