Don't apologize ever for getting emotional, that's what great music does, it speaks to us, and often it relates to something, some past experience in our life. You wouldn't be human for not being this way. As for the song and the video it was Freddie's final song and video he did and so the final line "I still love you" was Freddie saying goodbye. After his death this was the b side to the rerelease of Bohemian Rhapsody, which went straight to number one here in the UK. There will never be another Freddie, he was one of a kind and I don't think anyone could ever replicate his style and persona. He's greatly missed, but will live forever in his songs, which are timeless classics.

You’re absolutely right! Freddie knew he was in his final days and so did the band. They put so much make up on him and had to film it in black-and-white because the disease has taken such a toll on his skin. If you go back and watch the making of this video does show him in color and you can tell he’s not well at all. And I’m sure several people have already told you that yes, when he looks into the camera and says “I still love you”, that is him saying goodbye to his fans. That part always rips my heart out!

This just showed, not only what a superb performer he was, but a loving person he was as well. I love how Freddie just wore his heart on his sleeves and (in this case) his waistcoat. The last whisper of "I still love you" to his family, friends and fans is still an emotional bullseye! Though Freddie never had children of his own, he loved cats and was a truly devoted cat daddy. The pictures on his vest are several portraits of his beloved fur babies. Brian, John and Roger are doing all they can to keep a stiff upper lip. I can't imagine how much it must have ate at them inside to watch their friend and brother waste away. Even now their spiritual bond with Freddie is so strong not even death could break it. God bless Queen! You still have so much more Queen to check out.

What I truly love about this last song with and of Freddie, is he still has what it took to carry himself proudly, and unlike some singers that want to continue to sing, but clearly are no longer able to, Freddie sounded just as great as he always did. If not knowing how sick he was, and it's more than obvious by seeing him in this last video of him, there'd be no way of knowing that he was sick at t'all. I wish that he would have been more terrified of the AIDS virus than he was and would have taken the necessary precautions to avoid catching and ultimately his death sentence!! It's just hard for me to believe that a man with his intelligence, should have known better not to be so careless with his own life and others he spread this disease to. He was told many, many times by men he knew and slept with that many of the same sex partners they both had slept with or shared with are now dead..I think when a person is a sexual deviant, (no it has absolutely nothing to do with him being gay), but it does have everything to do with not caring about who or how many different sexual partners he was constantly having sex with!! Yes, it does anger me that Freddie Mercury just threw his life away!! God Rest his Eternal Soul...

As sick as he was, he was determined to do this song. The last thing he wanted was to leave this Earth without saying goodbye to all those who were dear to him. His family, friends, fans everyone. Because he didn't just have an impact on his fans. They had an impact on him. He wanted his final message to be that he wouldn't be anywhere without everyone who was involved in his life and loved his music, and that he would not trade the life he had lived, the good and the bad. His time was short, but he accomplished so much and was able to do one of the things that mattered most to him. To make others smile and laugh. Thirty years have passed since his death, and he still does that to this very day. Freddie may be gone, but his legacy will last forever.

This so sad - this video gets me every time. Yes, they all knew it was getting near the end. The band were "on standby" literally 24 hours a day, so that if Freddie felt strong enough to work, whatever time of day or night, they all immediately went into the studio and shot or recorded for as long as they could. The reason Freddie never moves from the one spot in this video is that he was too weak to walk and in too much pain, He only got through it by taking the odd vodka shot. The part that breaks my heart is when he says "I still love you" not just because it's goodbye to us but if you go back and watch Queen at Wembley '86 with Freddie in his full pomp and majesty he says the same thing, in the same way, to the audience during "Love of My Life". I can't go back and watch that now without shedding a tear.

Too skinny from his illness. Sad thing is that he was wearing a sweatsuit under his clothes to “bulk him up” for the video. One half of his foot was gone from the disease so he stood there and belted it out. So contrary to what we had seen from Queen in their live performances. But, in the end, he gave us his best. This video was filmed on May 31, 1991. Freddie died on November 24, 1991. He didn’t leave his house much after this, and the English tabloid press wouldn’t leave him alone, they were always in front of his house in London. They tried in this video to cover up just how much weight he had lost with make-up and lighting, but it was clear he was very sick. He denied he had AIDS up until the day before he died, even though he knew since 1987. The band knew and they all agreed to just lie to the press to protect Freddie’s privacy.

Very few singers/ musicians have the power that draws you in and become to feel like a friend so that by the end of his life you are watching your "friend's be in such pain and then depart. You feel an empty whole and mourn for this "friend" who allowed you into his journey. You felt it Jayy as we all do. Crying at the insane sadness. R.I.P. beloved man.

My favorite Queen song. Real tear jerker. Makes me think of my little girls when they were babies.. love and miss them both so much.

Your reaction is so genuine and you are young & didn't grow up with this group. I grew up in their time frame & I was so sad when Freddie passed in Nov 1991, only months after they made this last video. "I still love you" was Freddie saying goodbye to his fans. Your reaction was so real that I actually had tears in my eyes from your reaction. You are beautiful and to see your reaction was truly beautiful as you didn't grow up with them during the height of their success. Glad to see that you are enjoying Queen & passing it on to others in your generation. I am 69 yrs old and there is no one who matches their talent. When they were apart they were never the same quality but when they were together as Queen the quality of these 4 guys was out of this world and to this day can't be matched. Thank you for sharing your reaction it was beautiful & raw.

I remember the day this video came out. It was for Freddie to say goodbye to his fans. I cried that day. And crying like a baby now!
