What is sad about the “made in Heaven” album is that all these songs where recorded by Freddie a few days before his untimely passing 😢 and he told his band members to do what they want with his recordings after he is gone. On 1 particular song he was just to tired to continue and said he will carry on the next day.. but the next day never happened 😞😞😞😢 RIP to the most phenomenal human that ever lived. A true legend dearly missed, dearly loved. I remember when I was a little girl my dad playing Queen at home on journey in the car and all of us singing to this great music.to this day I still listen and still a huge fan. ♥️

Early on, and even after Queen became one of the biggest bands in the world, Freddie instructed all crew and support staff to always be kind and respectful to fans even when they’d snuck backstage, tried to climb up onstage, or in other ways were a bit unruly. You’re right- a heart as big as the universe. He truly loved us and to the end of his life never lost his gratitude for us. I hope Freddie can see what you are doing. He would be in awe and humbled by your love and loyalty, nearly 30 years after his death. Thank you for all you two do.

Yep. He also carried around an address book in which he wrote down people’s birthdays so he would always remember to wish them a happy one and/or give or send them a gift. Definitely one of the good guys. The world was a much better place with Freddie in it.
@marciebulsaraorcutt3 жыл бұрын
@@3ScotsInk Before he passed away, I read that he also made perpetual arrangements w (I don't remember the name of the company) to send ongoing gift baskets every year after his passing, to a few special people (like Mary and his family, I'm sure; probably Peter and other close employees; his band mates; Dave Clark, Reinhold Mack, and his godchildren).
@3ScotsInk3 жыл бұрын
Hadn’t heard that but wouldn’t be surprised. It’s a good thing he had so much money and knew it would keep coming in perpetuity long after his death. He was generous probably beyond what any of us knows. Would’ve bankrupted most people. He’s a legend, but he was, and continues to be, a great human being. We were lucky to have him here for 45 years.

We love you too. Brian May wrote this song about his marital problems - he loved his wife - but had fallen in love with another woman - and sings about the dilemma and the pain. You must find the video where he is performing - - it is heartbreaking!! He actually suffered from depression and was suicidal on one point - but got help and recovered . It is impossible to choose between the two versions - but I prefer Brians because of the emotions. But it is easy to see the lyrics connected to Freddies life.

Freddie once said that each member of the band writes in a certain style - all different - and that for him, his songs are emotional...and all about love. So even when he doesn't write the song, when he connects to it he can hide in plain sight in the story of it. Freddie's version resonates to me more so because in the bigger picture/context of the time & his situation, it seems to have so many nuanced meanings. Brian's version is straight on into the camera while singing and the light is on him and the scale of it seems to shrink. But Brian penned a glorious song that is now & forever a part of Queen. In the end of their last chapter with Freddie, credit was given as Queen... fitting.

This song makes me weep for my beautiful friend Martin passed these last 11 years. He loved Freddie Mercury. He was the most beautiful, kind, fun loving and caring person. He had incredible kind blue eyes, and never a bad word for anyone. Unfortunately alcohol gripped him hard, he struggled with it or many years, and, one night fell asleep face down and never woke up. He was gay and proudly wore the label of being a queen. I see a lot of his mannerism in Freddie. He had a huge heart. I still get so mad at him for leaving me. I can't help that. RIP both.
