Freddie's existance was all the more precious for its brevity. For not only will he be forever remembered for the songs he sang, he will be forever mourned for the songs he never got to sing. He sings like it’s the question he has been asking himself “who wants to live forever”? 💗👑💗👑

You are so right! Freddie’s voice was just spectacular- all natural, raw, God given talent! There is more to being a great vocalist than just being a technical trained singer. They can have great technique but lack energy, emotion, and connection to the song & audience. Freddie’s voice was versatile, rich with emotion, and you feel every word & note he sang! A powerful charismatic performer in addition to his iconic songwriting, production, artistic, and instrumentalist skills! 💯 Irreplaceable Legend!!

A journalist, I think it was a journalist, once said that Freddie's voice was "a force of nature with the velocity of a hurricane". I think this song, both the studio version and all the live versions of this song, show that to be true. Of course Freddie's voice is always amazing but some songs show the power and depth of his singing more than others. He just knew how to sing every song with the right emotion and where each note should be within every word. Just incredible. Oh dear, he is just the best. Can you react to In My Defence. You may already know but this song was written for a movie & it fits to perfection. The film is a cult classic we still watch today, it’s called Highlander and I think you would enjoy it if you’ve never seen it. Queen were asked to do film songs often but mostly said no. The director asked them to watch a rough cut after they had turned it down. They agreed & Freddie had most of the song by the end of the movie. I believe they delivered the demo in 3 days. The movie & music together in a theatre was magic.
